Generals are always up and they're easy to find. If the title of the anime isn't in the OP it's sometimes a pain to find a thread about the anime and sometimes there's isn't a thread up for it. Generals have great discussion when a new episode airs, or a new chapter is released, or, for games, a new update or event is released. Between those times, yes, there is shit/fun posting, but that happens everywhere, whether it's a general or not.
