Oh lest's be honest. Tomino sucks. His characters just stop to dump random pieces of exposition even when there's no one around them. The animation in his works always feels jerky, the designs are bland and uninteresting and the stories are stupid and repetetive. The only great think about him is that he was an inspiration for other creators but his own works have aged like milk in an open bottle.

I still remember how Bes and Karala would just stop, look frantically and talk about what happened in the years before the events of the series when no one was around them. Characters would do this all the time, because Tomino doesn't know how to deliver information to the viewer any other way.
