I'm mostly just watching it for a short laugh, also it's nice having something you can look forward too every week, I'd probably kill myself if I actually had to wait for new seasons of the animes I watch without being able to atleast kind of distract myself

It's kinda exciting to watch shows at the same time as other anons and post about it here. I only pick up about four or five and end up dropping half of them, although autumn looks pretty good so might pick up more than usual.

If you don't pay attention to what's current, you are missing out on what people are talking about, and even what you are talking about. You shouldn't ignore the roots of things, but it's the recent stuff that you need to reply to.

If you enjoy a show, watch it. If you don't enjoy a show, stop. Only bother discussing shows you like on /a/. You can avoid a lot of wasted time this way. (Does not apply if you have zero other hobbies.)

I can understand if the show is good but honestly so many just look like absolute forgettable trash and yet /a/ keeps following them

Sure there might be a diamond in the rough now and again, like there's no way I would have given Kemono Friends a second glance unless people said it kept up in quality and cuteness despite the shitty animation, but so many of these are just... fuck

I'm a Brazilian used to watching soap operas, and since seasonal anime is pretty much animated soap opera, I watch it just out of habit I guess.
