It's my favorite from this season and the way it gets no threads is good by /a/ standards.

I liked it for the first 2 weeks. Now its just boring and repetitive and the only reason I watch it is Aletta. If theres no Aletta I often even skip entire storylines.

Half the time I mute it and just have it playing to say I have seen it. The last few episodes have been less about the characters in the restaurant and more about the food. I find 8 minutes of someone's overly verbose internal monologue while they fawn over a food dish boring.

I watch it to get hungry and to get some new ideas on what food to try out on the next occasion.

That's because legit tonkatsu is the greatest dish on Earth. If you've never been to Japan, you've never had real tonkatsu. The sweet, flavorful katsu sauce. The perfectly crispy breading. The refreshing shredded cabbage.
I would fly back every year just for the katsu.

I like comfy SoL but this show just feels lifeless. Every episode its the characters just saying "Wow! This food is just so amazing!"

I enjoy it, I don't feel bad for enjoying it, but it would be nice if it did more with its genre/wasn't so cookie cutter.

Actual sub plots, more progression, or even just varying up the dialogue and descriptions. Perhaps making it feel more like a full real world, and not "sugoi! this one meal I choose is the best so I'll only eat that".

You could do almost anything and make this show better.
