Live action adaptations are usually stage 3 for that. Well, Japanese ones at least. IIRC, there's a lot of Korean dramas based off of manga that haven't got an anime yet.

Yes it's a beautiful masterwork of acting and skill, but in what way did the medium help the storytelling? Everything could have been drawn out instead and animated. Try to answer something other than just "3D>2D"
