I don't understand Theta / Tserriednich's relationship prior to the succession battle. Clearly she wasn't a Hunter hired for the trip like Kurapika and all the other Hunters. She was already employed by Tserriednich at least a month before the departure. Yet when you look at her thoughts she clearly doesn't like the guy.

Did she plan her daughter's death? There's also the possibility that Momoze's death was faked, and it was also a good time to dispose of some disloyal guards. Faking a prince's death sounds like a good way to exit the succession battle, especially for the younger princes who may not want to fight.
