To be fair, no one really remembers the duels of the first 26 episodes of either Arc-V or Zexal as being among their best.

As an example, I can't be bothered to care that much about Shun vs LDS trio when Shun vs Sora blew it out of the water. Might be being too optimistic though, since Vrains' duels could be mediocre at best the entire way through. It would be really sad if the Yugioh anime never again in its lifetime accomplishes a single duel at the same tier of the past best duels.

I have been hearing allot of talk about anons liking ARC-V allot.

So I wanted to gauge what some of the good and bad parts are of ARC-V and if its worth it to marathon it.

I liked nearly all of Yugioh

I liked the The first season of GX , but the school setting killed it for me honestly. so didnt watch past that. might watch it later.

Loved all of 5D except the second to last arc. and the final was so crazy I just had to appreciate it.

Marathoned all of zexal and only liked the FINAL arc when the Barian emperors came into play thought everything leading up to it was trash, nothing interesting happened.

Only watch first part of ARC-V before they went to synchro world.
Ws lack luster but felt like it could go somewhere, the side characters were kinda bland to me up to that point. and all his duels were boring OTK's which got samey real fast. so I stopped.

So far really like VRAINS, like the build up and the learning about how each characters operates but they are a tad bit too stoic so hope that changes up a little the VS Revolver duel was a good step up for me.


So any pointers whether I should marathon ARC-V ?
Because I am not sure where it falls in good, bad, or somewhere i between.

Ono completely checked out after episode 52, the writers did things on a episode by episode basis and there was so little communication the animators didn't know what they were suppose to be drawing until the last moments. The whole thing was a shitshow and unfair to the talent they got behind most of those characters and the animators. The writers had their own headcanons for how certain characters were suppose to act resulting in motivations and actions changing as quickly as the very next episode, Ono only cared about satisfying his own desires such as his love jacking off to his prior work and the gladiator beasts, it was a total trainwreck and Ono just jumped right back into Symphongear, Ebina ran off to a Fate series and everyone else were left holding the pile of shit that remained of the show.
