I'll explain. Prior to DB Super Vegeta never trained with Goku because of his inferiority complex and muh pride. He would be able to relate more with Raditz since he worked with him and is a battle hungry saiyan like himself and not a domesticated saiyan like Goku. I can see him training with Raditz instead of training alone all the time. Imagine Vegeta and Raditz training in the gravity room together at 500x gravity.
