The second season introduced a character who took up a lot more screentime than he should have. The character was a little blue-haired kid with glasses, commonly referred to as Millhouse. Just like the Simpsons character, he's an annoying little shit that nobody likes. He was annoying in that he would always be the center of attention when something happened and he was present, be it getting pulled into a situation or just walking down the hallway when it happened. Having this little kid take up so much attention in a show that focuses on a trio of sisters was a bad move.

A more minor reason is that the art style changed quite a bit. It wasn't THAT bad, but it was enough to make you think "why did they change it?"

It's crazy that Minami-ke runs in the same magazine as Prison School. Japan and their set demographics are really alien to filthy gaijin; if the manga ever got licensed it would probably be aimed at little girls.
