well yeah because it's too slow paced and the animation isnt great. but if production ig did it, it'd be worth watching. rebooting the anime would be a good idea since like you said not many people are still watching the current anime.

HxH did like 400 chapters in 120 eps. OP will be like 1400 chapters thats like only 400 eps. Do 25 eps every 2 seasons and the anime will finish close to when the manga will finish. Doesn't seem too hard.

The problem is not the budget, Toei has tons of money, the problem comes from how much of a jew Toei is about their big cash cows

Toei does the best they can with their limited budget; they actually spend thousands of dollars per episode.
One Piece is so sprawling that it often comes down to episodes with recycled music, slow pacing and subpar animation.
Just wait for One Piece Kai in a few years

I wish they made an abridged version years after it ends but given most of the god tier cast probably won't live to finish the original I can't imagine replacing so many great roles properly.
