Saki is genuinely shitty at mahjong compared to the big league players in her series so despite everyone having mahjong superpowers, she would probably still lose to Akagi who would either just cheat or outplay them.
>implying you can beat Washizu's luck
>implying Washizu couldn't beat Goku
To be fair Akagi subjected himself to ridiculous handicaps but that was useful in a way
Maybe consider Yukio, who is a far more human player. How do you think he would fare against Saki, or someone from Saki?
He's kind of alternative young Hiroyuki, if he wouldn't meet Ten. Even names are similar. So he'd be getting rused quite a lot by every creative person ever till the bitter end
Why is that twintailed girl so high rated in those waifu contests again? She seemed pretty unimpressive.
>Depends, which one is more mary-sueish?
If you can't understand that you must be retarded.
Saki is fairly weak mentally while Akagi's main thing is his psychological warfare and preying on those kinds of players. She'd never get to a point where she can use her reality hacks, Akagi would break her spirit in the first few games.
Basically, Washizu and his gang go down to a mine to beat the owner of the mine to get the rights to it. Basically the game is mahjong with giant pieces. Instead of the wall, pieces are dropped instead. One person from each team run to the center and pick up a piece, where they can fight each other and there's a penalty if you get Ron'd or something, the penalty being the iron ball and chains. He basically beats the shit out of everyone being the god like man he is, but he gets penalized a couple times and ends up having to fight the strongest guy on the other team. Needless to say Washizu goes full helicopter and beats the shit out of the other guy.
Could Akakgi beat Koizumi Junichiro's Rising Sun?
If it's a match for the ZENKOKU, Saki remembers her promise and has to make a comeback win.
But if it's just for fun I like to think Saki puts up a good fight, but Akagi beats her and teaches her a valuable lesson and helps to cover a weak spot. Akagi is a good guy especially when he's old, so he likes how much promise Saki shows and her heart.
I'd like to see how Akagi deals with fucking TIME POWERS
Saki wins a surprise match, where nobody knows the others at the table.
Akagi wins a preparation match IF they aren't playing for Nodoka's virginity.
If they are playing for Nodoka's virginity, Akagi is slaughtered, and his body is used to feed the fishes.
His photographic memory wouldn't help him in automated tables (though if they aren't used, he could have some useful information on which tiles are on the opponents' hands and which tiles are on the live/dead walls), don't know how much better is his digital style compared to Saki characters'.
I don't doubt that, but I'm sure that Akagi, against all common sense, would want to see her like that. Even if it might be something out of his expectations, like how he never intended to play the 6th hanchan against Washizu.
Reminds me of the blackout during Saki's match against Koromo. I've thought that Ten could've kidnapped Saki, locked her somewhere else, appear in her seat dressed as a schoolgirl, and then, Tenhou/Chihou (forgot Saki's seat at that time) Chuurenpoutou.
>through foresight, Yagi wouldn't have dealt the 4sou dora
>neither would Ichikawa have dealt the Pei, and/or switch the kan dora indicator with the Chun
>neither would Urabe panic so much when trying to avoid Akagi's single wait, etc.
Maybe Akagi would try to download her playstyle and psychologically harass her (as possible, because lol foresight) to "prevent her from forming a hand", and find out that she can't spam her foresight ability (or even somehow force her to use the 3 turn foresight). In a single hanchan, it could be difficult (because even though he can prolong the hanchan with dealer extra rounds, and has done that before, it's not his speciality, like Teru's).
It never gets old.
>Saki wins surprise or playing for Nodotits
>Akagi wins otherwise
Yeah, but can any of them beat Batmakaiji with infinite prep time + infinite giant ass water bags ?
Kaiji is fucking crazy
>tilted machine? TILTED BUILDING
>balls fall in holes? HOLES FILLED
>winning hole blocked? BALLS PUSHED
>can't disguise my hand? DISGUISE OTHER TILES
Nah, Akagi would still win. His talent is that he's pretty much able to figure people out perfectly. Saki isn't even Urabe level. She'd die in Washizu mahjong for that matter.
Akagi could survive that. Just bring infinite Osamu-kuns so that in terms of gaining intelligence, Akagi would "have the crushing victory" infinite times and infinite co-op cop play.
He came up with it on the fly instead of Batmanning it but it works too I guess.
In this world of injustice where the weak become a prey to the strong, someone needs to fight the powers that be.
Akagi is good, but Saki has enough power levels that she'd take the win if he knew nothing about her. Still, given a chance, he'd come out ahead, unless she was playing for blood.
Yes. Frozen Touka.
Scrub here too, but speaking from experience, at times you'll have a good hand, but someone else will be at tenpai (riichi or damaten), you're dealt a tile that you feel may be the one they need. Don't deal it, I lost points several times this way. It's apparently common for 4-dan players and above to use closed waits, so you can't rely on suji defense.
Also, when someone's in riichi before you, attack is *rarely* the best defense, just having you and everyone else hold that player's winning tile will prevent you from having to recover lost points later.
Tacos is underrated
Anons, I've read some mahjong manga, but I've really never given Saki a try. Is there something in Saki worth not missing? I heard that once it reaches a certain point in the story, it just never gets better than that.
Will the tanoshii be worth it?
I think Saki would win everytime against Akagi because of her deus ex machina. Koizumi vs Saki is like a 50/50. But Akagi vs Koizumi I want to say Akagi has a better chance than against Saki.
No, she take it off. And nelly isn't even the ace of Rinkai.
Its a shame he grew out of it
Its not really something you read for intelligent plot. Its got a lot of great faces though
And here we have the result of Saki unleashing her full power when she was too young to realize what would happen. Good thing the tournament venue seems to be mostly made of metal and other less flammable stuff.
>implying akagi isn't the cutest as an old man
Don't make me laugh, anon.
Anon you put that back from where you took it right now or I swear to God.
She's got a super-powered mode, it is like a split personality.
sadly this is all I have, anon.
Akagi knows jackshit about most of his opponents. He plays around his opponents mostly by observing tics that they have and throwing out moves to test the water. He's the sort of guy who can play around luck and cheating too.
So he could do better against an opponent he knows, but Saki has a lot of power levels to go through, which would frustrate him unless he prepared.
That's not exactly true. Of course Akagi goes deep into the psychological aspect. But in Saki people form strategies around their own powers and denying other their power which I find really interesting in it's own way.
The way Hisa plays, where she always goes for bad weights just because she feels more lucky stacking the odds against herself. You could compare that to the kind of insanity Akagi looks for when he gambles with his life. There's a lot of interesting stuff like that in Saki. Yuki always feels her flow in the east round and plays as quickly as possible to keep the east going, while other players gradually figure out what's she's trying to do.
>implying old Akagi isn't a sexy beast
A lot of his plays are shit anyone could do if they were good enough. Hell, his mahjong in Ten when he's older and got over some of his recklessness and thrill seeking is insanely grounded and relies primarily on statistics.
and yet Ten had that episode then Akagi fucked both with the reader and Hiro with
>I'm honest to god my hands are moving in their own
>even Akagi doesn't know what Akagi is doing
doing magic just to be an awesome senpai to the scared shitless kid
tut-tut, you saying that wouldn't be fighting a monster in
