Creating a GOOD anime that truly comes from the heart of its creator is an art. Like Evangelion or Berserk.

Your shitty, flavor of the month, "WE WANT THE IRONIC WEEB AUDIENCE" anime is a science like Umaru or Dragon Maid. Everything is focus-tested and market researched to appeal to the attention span for 1-2 seasons and that's it. Nobody will look back in history and see Kill la Kill or Sword Art Online's significance or contribution to the medium as an art form the way people will always see Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell doing so
