I feared the Jojo fanbase latching on to Devilman before this PV, mainly because of how many "OMG this show is so wacky!" moments are spread out throughout early Devilman that reminded me of how I felt when I was first exposed to Jojo. However, judging from the PV, Yuasa is probably gonna take some liberty and fix some of the tonal issues with first couple volumes of Devilman so that there's a more appropriate build up to all the serious tragedies in the second half of the manga. Hopefully that'll prevent the same reaction that Jojo got happening to Devilman.

When I say nonsensical, I mean that it feels almost like a stream of consciousness, particularly in the second half. The opening is handled well and gives you a very clear idea of what's going and the motivations of Akira and Ryo, which is followed by Devilman fighting a few demons in relatively isolated incidents. These are logical events, if very standard and lacking in any big theming or character development. After that, it all becomes very slap shod, where major developments seem to happen at the drop of a hat, like the demon war and Devilman making an army get introduced one second and carried out the next, and the only idea that seems to follow through on any sort of message is Miki being killed in a witch hunt, which doesn't really get that much attention after the fact, or relate to the actual ending with Ryo being Satan.
All I'm saying is that it's a fun ride with interesting art and not much else

What is different is that the vaporization from a Nuclear bomb increases the amount of smoke you get, but not over time.

So basically: Nukes have been used on a population center, with more wood than a dense forest. Its a given that the wood has to go somewhere.
The idea for Nuclear Winter is based of that 2000-6000 missles used in Global Warfare, will vaporize similar amounts of wood, hence creating a "nuclear winter", from the pollution changing the refraction of the atmosphere slightly.
Reality: The unique conditions are not able to be replicated, as wood cities denser than dense forests, are not present anywhere in the civilized world.
The same is true of army bases/supplies/logistics: The real targets of Nukes.
And thats even more true, because the missiles explosive radius isn't significant compared to how forests surround them.
