Yuasa is a mainstream director, he nears the edge of the scale because of his usage of not excatly traditional artstyles but his approach to directing and storytelling is vehemently "mainstream". That isn't bad, though. Using Flash to "clean-up" genga of Oohira, Hashimoto and eventually more others like Oshiyama is a crime, though.
