I don't get the hate for the build knuckle, it wasn't even overused.
Sei and Reiji would always wear out other options and break down the opponent before going to the knuckle, and that's because the knuckle was a finishing move, like in wrestling.

Samurai episode is pretty justified because the animator had a hard time animating Sengoku. Blame Bandai for this one.
