I dunno, the Tohsaka became Kung fu magi in Apocrypha now that they lost the grail system, and in FSN Nagato, (their progenitor) had roots in martial arts(which is ironic that Rin decides to learn Bajiquan in FSN's continuity, and Sakura learns Seitai massage technique, which has Budo origins). The Edelfelt in Apo are still blood related to the Tohsaka and Sakura becomes Luvia's little sister since Zouken's dealt with.

So there is some continuity. Nasu is just weird about it while allowing all his writer buddies to add onto the Nasuverse. Expect Kojima to make his own stuff any day now.
