I didn't like it at first because

1. it was "not One Piece enough" and
2. I had just seen FLCL and had my standards for animation set really, really high so I was disappointed it didn't always look like the money shot scenes I had seen online

I was a dumb 14 year old back then though. I rewatched it with a friend a few years later and we both decided it was fucking amazing. I think I like the first Digimon Adventure short film a little more as far as "popular franchise + Hosoda" works go but it's great.
