I find it hard to like Star Trek ever since that movie where Picard decides to deny the galaxy a cure for all disease and ageing, just because it would involve relocating 200 amish tier people who eskew technology and fetishise manual labour. He never once gave a seriously compelling reason for why he should do such a stupid thing. I remember back when Kirk would become furious as he found alien races that chose to abandon technology instead of facing the problems it brought. "Who are you to judge?" They would ask. "Who do I have to be?" was his rightful reply. Although, to be honest, I started to disagree with the series' political direction much earlier than that, back during the movie where the Klingons are made into allies and Kirk gets character assassinated into going along with it. The Klingons were a race that had literally attempted planet wide genocides multiple times in the first season, yet the writers would have us believe they have any moral right to be a "proud" race. Such bullshit.

To answer the question I doubt much would actually change other than a more consistent tone and story. Clown/Violator would probably be a smug loli instead of a fatass clown, and Cogliostro would also be replaced with a QT anime waifu girl (likely goth loli with or without cowtits). Malebolgia would be voiced by Wakamoto, The Redeemer would have one identity and would play a bigger role, and Al would have white when not in costume like all dark-skinned anime characters do and have Akio Ohtsuka reprise the role. Considering how crazy the Spawn universe is, an anime could do a lot with the rogues gallery and have a shitload of gory and over-the-top fights. Elements and characters from the Namco and Capcom games would be used.

You've got empire building, space combat, genetic modifications (and genetic supersoldiers), robots, sentient AI (and AI uprisings), psionics, forces and beings from other dimensions and planes of existences, interfering with non-spacefaring intelligent life, orbital bombardments and planetary invasions, multi-species empires, megastructures like ring worlds and dyson spheres, colonization and clashing with native life on planets, purging aliens, ancient advanced yet lost civilizations, societal issues like poverty/standards of living, citizenship and slavery, class differences between species, hunger, etc, giant space monsters and more.

Knowing anime MC will be a prince to some space empire and fall in love with a space elf princess of another empire. Oh wait, that's already happened. Hopefully it'd be more like LoGH but with more sci-fi elements and less elementary tactics dressed as clever and genius.
