Its better im someone who has been watching anime for three decades. I only just converted to sub is better.
Why? Because the japanese voices capture the characters better.
For example in sexy female characters the japanese va will sound sexy throughout.
The american va will just use a generic anime girl voice only being sexy in particular scenes. Which fall short of the original va because they sound comedic and have less feminine tone.
