What's the best war or military themed anime?

I'd rather chose the Monogatari Movies over that. GuP isn't intellectually entertaining.

Tbh, it fits sports more overall than war. Alot of Kobayashi's stuff is underrated, but then again, most, if not all, of the scanlations are in spanish.
