It's just that at that point in time, boruto is the one not paying attention because of daddy issues.
Once again, sarada and mitsuki are just working together, because they're camrades, not because their friendship is better or anything. They had to show that their relationship actually existed, because it didn't in gaiden. But that doesn't mean boruto/sarada or boruto/mitsuki relationship doesn't exist. You're judging a whole team on a short period of time.
See that right after the exam, boruto is more attentive to his teamate and they get their normal dynamic back since chapter 11. Mitsuki also knows more about boruto's interests and can tell what his friend means even when he's not clear. Like when their talk about "that"

Poor mitsuki just didn't get much lines anyway. They focussed more on boruto/sarada nd then sexond sarada/mitsuki because last lime we saw them, they were in conflict, that's it.

The manga didn't introduce those because they were not needed. Anime did because they used them for their own arc. Toneri isn't relevant rn in the manga, there's not need for introduction.

You have to be joking if you tell me that the entire introduction of the Jougan can just be skipped and still work out when they decide to show it in the manga. It only works because the anime introduced it. Also Momoshiki didn't say shit about the clan, this wasn't confirmed until ep 15 of the anime. Toneri's prophecy is much more specific than any of what Momoshiki said too. It didn't introduce Nue either, and Nue is related to the main plot. The Jougan itself wasn't even named at all and the design of the anime is different.

The manga is incomplete. You don't just start a story and not even introduce all the cast. They are doing it like that because they know that the anime will cover all the content they skip. It was planned to be like that, because the manga is monthly and has no real chance of being the main source for all the series.

Well sorry pal, that's just the way it is. The anime has more canon material and is being worked on by the people writing the manga. the manga is monthly while the anime is weekly 12 manga chapters a year not counting breaks vs about 48 episodes a year. the anime WILL overtake the manga, and since it's already the canon medium the story will be expanded and continue there.

The anime should have skipped Gaiden altogether and created a good arc about the attack of an enemy that is a actual threat so Sasuke and Naruto can show off. Better than that Shin jobber at least. And we wouldn't have to deal with all that stupid drama.
