Well, there is this artbook official of 10 anniversary, and it have 3 Special Stories, and one of them is from Kyou.
5 years after Nagisa AND Ushio dying, Kyou becomes lonely because of that and the fact that she feels that the town is not the same, question if she really likes the town and is kind of alcoholic (she is turning into another School Arc Tomoya).
Rie is revealed to want a boyfriend and goes with Kyou to one of those events where they can meet people to exchange numbers, but Kyou just leave because she just don't care.
Youhei was in there too and Kyou was getting annoyed at his lies and she literally fucked up his chance.
Despite this... they still act like how they were in the school, she being meanie like Tomoya to him, and Youhei doing the overdramatic act like he does until they talk to Tomoya.
Youhei says that he barely talks with him and hint to her that she should get in touch with him.

It ends that Yoshino, Akio AND Tomoya were a band, though this was mostly a plan for Akio and Sanae with the help of Yoshino for Tomoya to start doing something instead of just sitting them waiting for Tomoya to either die or deppresion or comit suicide.
Kyou was surprised, and Sanae who was with her, tells that she (again, to the surprise of nobody since this is Sanae, smart mom right here) already knows what Kyou was doing with Tomoya. Kyou was obviously re-discovering her real feelings and love for Tomoya but she was hiding it, Sanae maked sure that Nagisa achieved her happiness when she was married with Tomoya, and she in return wanted to make Tomoya happy, yet her disease was too strong for her, but even at the end she really wanted to make Tomoya happy somehow, and right now, Kyou is the only one who can do that. Sanae says that this is what Nagisa would probably think.
In the moments of cheering (you know, when the public cheris the bands members), Tomoya was the only one who got the less and awkward cheering because... he literally sucked at the guitar, but Kyou literally screamer his name, in which everyone, including Tomoya, were surprised. She gets embarassed and hide.
The story ends with Tomoya just being the same, but just going to Kyou who was still hiding, and he says "See you tomorrow" to surprise of Kyou, which she happilly agree. No implication of them being together but just the fact that there may be hope.

I wonder how Kyou would have reacted to and dealt with Tomoya's actual problems once she learned about them. The only routes that deal with this are Nagisa's and Tomoyo's, and they're both similar to Tomoya in important ways. Kotomi's route doesn't go into it, but she also has a similarity to Tomoya due to her own past trauma. Kyou on the other hand is a well-adjusted, normal person, and also somewhat naive. Hell, in the VN Nagisa sees through all of Tomoya's bullshit and figures him out after knowing him for like three days. Kyou's known him for a year and is apparently clueless.

Although Yukine isn't part of the story's focus, her role in the game is very important, specially in the first parts. Meetings in the reference room are very important in the relationship build-up moments during the early game parts. And then you have the storeroom charm events that are optional but are some of the best bits in the story.

In a sense, Yukine is more important to the story than Kotomi. Kotomi is the only optinal heroine in the story. You could write her off Clannad and the story would not change.

Again, Yukine is strongly associated with the delinquency themes in the story. It was likely Key's idea to write about the subject during the conceptual stages, but eventually everything else in the plot was more important than the Japanese's skewed views of what a delinquent is. Yet they couldn't scrap the idea altogether because Tomoya and Sunohara were both delinquents, and Tomoyo too was associated with the idea. These particular aspects are thrown out the window in all routes except Tomoyo's, meaning Yukine's importance in the story was tossed out along with it.

Tomoyo After is awful because the cast wasn't present, they had nothing to work and build up on, and someone thought brain cancer was an excellent ending for Tomoya.

It's because of things like this that I like the theory that all Key game's universes are connected, with the Terra route in Rewrite being the same timeline as all the good timelines in all Key games(Ushio survival timeline in Clannad and everyone surviving in Little Busters!).
