If I'm being honest, In retrospective, putting aside the shipperfags idiocy, I was always kinda worried they were going to take Andrew's character in that direction ever since his introduction episode.Thinking like: "Really? they are not even going to let the guy be his own character first at least? He's going to change his view about witches because of her? a (technically still) a muggle girl still on her way to become a witch? What's next? a love triangle with Diana, fighting for the attention for this guy?" I knew this is a kid friendly show but it was getting way too shoujo for my tastes and was increasingly worried by episode 10, which was still a fun episode, If I had to say it.

Then Shoehorn Anon appeared and became cancerous along the way and I just wanted him to get permabanned along with they yurifags and the M/F shipperfags because they just wouldn't shut up about their shipperfagging.

Then the Ep.25 Pre-screening interview happened, pretty much the reasons I was worried were adressed (and fixed). Romance was definitely a mistake. It was a "Hell yeah, I knew it!", moment.

Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva is a perfectly good example of the taste of what we could have had. Fun adventurous movies with beautifully done scores, one after another, each just as successful as the last. With Professor Layton they had planned to make more films but never did.
It's a shame because I think films/OVAs could have been LWA's strong suit.
