Because Chinese is incredibly heavily tonal and sounds weird as fuck. Anything that has a heavy emphasis on tones sounds like shit. They're bottom-tier languages along with Khoisan languages (African click languages). And yes, I know Japanese is technically tonal, but just barely. That said, I'd rather watch the English dub in that case, but I'm sure they'd manage to fuck it up with SJW bullshit like Maid Dragon.
