Nips have shit taste so this is to be expected. This season is by far the most deviant and highest quality I've seen. It's like studios collectively figured out how to write a good and original story. Sadly they will go back to shameless pandering and isekai/CGCT/battle harem tropes next season as that is what sells.

Be lucky we even got a second season. As fun as the first season was it didn't do too well. Probably because it wasn't the standard "fantasy" that Japan is used to. No isekai, harems, nippon stronk, self insert MC, the protagonists are adults(in genesis anyway), etc. For all intents and purposes, Bahamut is a western fantasy, and western shit never really catches on with nips. Thank Cygames and their infinite mobage money so said fuck it and gave us a second season with with great production value that has twice the episodes that the first season had anyway.
