-fails to capture the sense of scale of The City
-made the gun sound like a laser blaster from some budget sci-fi flick (and they couldn't even have a shot with the laser going through multiple gigantic buildings?)
-half the movie from the viewpoint of jobbers that I didn't even care about in the manga
-pacing was absolute shit
Well at least we got moe Sanakan
Stop trying to make a Blame thread every single day. If one sprouts up naturally, it will flourish. This falseflagging as the opposition now to get replies shows how truly pathetic you are.
disregard OP. Post cute Sanakans.

Fucking what?! Fuck me, talk about mentally unstable.
I liked it, fuck you :)

This.
Smug Cibo was glorious.
>>160176615
Wrong, Cibo's panties is the only thing can make Killy nose bleed

This made it all the more satisfying when Sanakan starts removing them

blame academy movie when?
>>160175757
>movie sucks ball
yes
and it is the adaption the movie deserved
>>160175757
I blame the studio producing the thing.
Granted, I don't know if anyone could have made Sidonia GOOD, but they have a talent for sucking anything unique from their source material and turning it into generic 3D CG crap.
I just watched the movie then marathoned the manga and i gotta say that the manga is totally different.
The movie feels like it was made to appeal regular people.
Talking about the manga, i thought sanakan was just like a robot being, how did she become a gov agent and gain sentience?
>>160187500
I don't think it's explained how, or even if she did become an agent for the authorities. But as seen with Iko and Dhomochevsky, the Safeguard agents can have autonomy as well. Their form may depend on their given mission. In the electrofisher village her job was to infiltrate and exterminate the fishers, so she was given a normal Safeguard form. When she's tasked with tracking the level 9, a much more important task, she's given a more specialized agent form.
>>160187780
Well i guess it had to be expected.
In the case of domo and iko, I assumed that they were human because there was no "system" so autonomous beings that could solve the problems by themselves were needed.
That unexplained stuff like the white haired girl and the dog always bugs me.
Atleast i'm glad that killy managed to deliver the orb, one of the most punished characters i've seen in a manga.
>>160187780
>how, or even if she did become an agent for the authorities
Never mind, she clarified that she does. I have no idea.
Maybe the Safeguard cooperates with the Authority when their goals align. I mean, they're basically the same entity anyway, aside from the fact that one of them went insane.
Sequel when
https://youtu.be/x_-JcmWeIGc?t=4m3s
>>160188262
but what part of the manga are they going to adapt?
The only "arc" left that is consistent enought it's Dhomochevsky's and they already wasted the "special access point" bullet.
I just hope that if they do it, they make some amazing fights against the silicon people.
Anyone have a webm of the first person POV in the Sanakan fight? I want to pretend that's how getting raped looks like
>>160189991
i thought that blame highschool was just a joke or something like that, what a pleasant surprise

>not glorious hard disks
GET IT RIGHT
>I just hope that if they do it, they make some amazing fights against the silicon people
I hope the same studio doesn't make a sequel, but if they do I'd love to see the silicon life show up.
It worked for the manga but it would kinda suck for a movie, considering Killy is practically silent and spends a lot of time by himself and there is generally a whole lot of nothing. Which I think works for the manga and creates a great world but it wouldn't translate to something more three dimensional like film. And if you think a semi-silent film with 20 minutes of scenery and silence is artsy and only casuals wouldnt enjoy it then plz go circle jerk with the fellow "artsy£ crowd like the Eva fag-boys. I love the manga and think the way that they made it a film was one of the only options that made it interesting.
