As much as I do hope the remake is coming along soon, it's still going to be hell waiting for the translation.

I mean seriously, the Mahoyo translation is still in progress after five years and that was a fucking kinetic visual novel. No branching story paths or anything. So I can't even imagine how long the Tsukihime remake will have at least 6 routes; along with the original ones being heavily reworked.

There is also the issue of the translation team that does pick it up, not being that familiar with the actual material. While I do appreciate the effort put in, I have noticed some odd bits like in Mahoyo that show that the translators weren't aware of certain parts of the background.

For example, I'm pretty sure they weren't aware that the Flat Snark was related to the First Magic. And they don't seem to differentiate between "Magic" and "True Magic" at all. Minor errors obviously, but since most people playing the games are going to be fans of the overall Nasuverse, it will be noticeable.
