In the village, Senkuu quickly became the hot topic. There was a rumor that he was a man who broke free from a stone and was banished from the village in the past once already. The head of the village is furious at Kohaku for bringing that outsider to their place. Regardless, Kohaku, Senkuu and Chrome organize themselves as a team with a single goal: Save Ruri's life! Senkuu plans to develop some antibiotics to counter Ruri's nameless disease and names two ways:
1. Using animals to produce penicillin .
2. Using stones to produce sulfa drug .
In this stone world, making penicillin isn't realistic, so he chooses sulfa drug to somehow reach antibiotics. He makes a roadmap about antibiotics. [From here one the whole process is explained, I'll skip that.] Chrome is learning various things about science from Senkuu. In the evening Senkuu talks about how the earth is spinning around the stars and not the other way around. Chrome is deeply impressed and Kohaku is shocked. After talking about science for a whole day, Senkuu is exhausted. After some more shenanigans, the three head to the river with a magnet the next day. They proceed to collect sand iron.
Senkuu smiles: "The first step of our science kingdom is done. The era of iron stars now..."

This is actually valid criticism. With the first arc ending, all the build up tension resolved without any real payout. They never meet the demons during their initial escape from the orphanage. No one died. Emma catched the match, so whenever someone is about to die or it looks like they died, you have to assume that they didn't. I know it's a shounen in WSJ, but that's still too safe. For example neither the demons in the forest appearing nor songju and musica shit felt like anyone was actually in danger at any point.

It's fairly bad, so I'd say it should be in the lowest three. The concept is generic (wow, football!), the characters barely have personalities and the only saving grace is that it's cute, which isn't a big selling point for a shonen. Sesuji had the same problems, but it started being published when Jump was in its worst shape ever, and was cancelled as soon as the magazine recovered.
