Valvrave, Code Geass, Danganronpa 3.

Every anime that is only enjoyable to watch with /a/ qualifies.
>>
If you mean the series being already retarded and crazy from the beggining: Valrave or Cross Ange
If you mean the anime turning into a trainwreck later on: Samurai Flamenco

Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism

Anything with a train that wrecks, I suppose.

I wanted to say that Aldnoah wasn't that extreme, but then I remembered the loli driving a Humvee, the cane that turns into a whip, sauce shooting Slaine's handcuffs off, gary stu surviving a bullet to the head that damaged his brain, pickle hime, robot eye taking over, and the backstabbing and romance drama, not to mention the shitty ending

Valverape (season 1, though season 2 had some classic moments too, season 1 was a wild ride)

Code Geass R2 (no questions asked, the amazing thing is how they salvaged the whole mess with that fantastic ending)

I don't understand people that say this.
What SoL do you like? What does it deliver on that K-On doesn't match up to?
Also none of the girls are sexualized at all in the show itself, and it was one of the most successful anime with female audiences when it aired in Japan. Not denying that there are plenty of guys that want to fuck the girls, but that's not the selling point.

Kabaneri did have a train wreck happen during the story since they are on a train and all. Not really that bad though. Just ended up with a generic villain.

You keep saying worse, and syntax and grammar work out. It's just that whenever I try to derive meaning from them that I draw a blank.

The problem with Kado is that, unlike most trainwrecks, where you get on board like you would get on a rollercoaster, Kado was a fancy looking train for fellow people of culture, slowly picking up speed, only to explode with no survivors between the last and second to last station.
>>
>>159973931
OP asked what is the most token train wreck anime in the most literal sense.
>>
>>159974002
Which makes it not a literal train wreck. It just has a pretty bad ending.
>>
>>159973971
The literal meaning of a trainwreck is a wrecked train.

The non-literal meaning would be a wrecked plot, so to speak. It's not necessarily harmful to the characters (though it often is), but it means that stuff effectively happens at random. Unpredictability through chaos, not through depth.
>>
>>159973931
Haha wtf right dude? /a/ told us these shows were irredeemable trainwrecks, and this guy just comes up and says something different? What the heeeeeeeeeeell man
>>
>>159974049
I wouldn't depth has anything to do with predictability.
>>
>>159974077
They're not actually irredeemable even in the eyes of /a/
>>
>>159974097
If you can't decipher what's going on, you can't predict what's going to happen.
So long as you understand the building blocks of the plot, you have some reasonable understanding of what may happen next.
>>
>>159961220
Nagi no Asukara by the Master, Mari Okada.
Maybe True Tears too.
>>
>>159974068
It is a type of disaster. Kado is a normal show that ends poorly.
>>
>>159974149
Most people aren't that good at paying attention to details, especially not when it's not spoon fed to the viewer, so lack of understanding isn't necessarily the fault of the show.
>>
ITT, people do not know what literal means.
>>
>>159974226
What I find worse than general plot development is immediate hints.
When something bad is about to happen, you can usually tell 10-20 seconds in advance. This is really weird. Sometimes I can't even pay attention to the plot anymore because I'm just waiting for the catastrophe to strike.
