No matter how you much you want to defend Croix, Croix development is the Shittiest compared to all key character in LWA (Akko,Diana,Chariot,Croix) Period.

Shes basically only said to Chariot, "Soon...." & "You cant stop me....." and keeps eating Ramen from Episode 15 to 23.
And Shes turned full 180, Helping Chariot & co in less than 10 seconds
Even sometimes Chariot is affected too because of her bad development, See Chariot flashback, very rushed as hell.

That scene is a very cheap "redemption" scene, Tons of anime are doing those scene, and 95% of them are shit.

Depth means that there is something more than meets the eye, and most of the contradictions in Dianas personality are just caused by the unprecedented force in the story that is Akko.
