Praise the bat, it's finally out.
Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade is the most beautiful of all time.
Probably a day or two at minimum.
>yfw you see it
The attention to detail was pretty nice.
I wonder who is behind that upload
>I'll hold back on the screencaps since this is only a speedrip.
>being a footfag
There where plenty of tiddies though.
She gets lots of feetservice in her child forms. I'm pretty sure it's converted more than a few innocent souls.
Did it even have this scene?
>waited since Bake for this
>Almost 10 (ten) years
>I can stop saying "Kizu Never" in these threads
It's an abstract kinda feel. I'm satisfied, but at the same time there's a gap in my heart where a series that will never be animated should belong. What'll I look forward to now? Evangelion 4.0?
Owari S2 in a month.
This has got to be the laziest fucking frame I've ever seen. Holy shit Shaft.
What's it say, our weeb ally?
so how many episodes are gonna be in it? I heard from some other anon that it was only a 2 episode special, which i hope he was a liar.
The news thing said "special" but I have no idea what that actually entails. Weren't previous segments of Monogatari aired in short bursts too?
There's a reason they call it "getting the shaft".
However, while it started as a legitimate budget constraint, it's basically their style at this point. And if it's not for the pretentious animation, why even watch monogatari?
What even is supposed to be pretentious about monogatari, if it's pretentious then it's trying to be deeper and more sophisticated than it is. If anything monogatari oozes style without trying to be deep about it.
It's too late, I already had christmas with her.
Gallant girls are the best.
Well the most commonly cited complaints I have heard are:
>Red/black/color scenes with flashing text way too fast to read
>Shaft head tilts
>Abstract as fuck actions or visualizations going on on screen over characters just talking
>real life objects or backgrounds
Other than the fanservice scenes it really is a style more than anything.
It's dialogue heavy, so they have to do something to keep the eyes occupied.
I'll be sure to tell anon you said it.
>tfw Ragi's delusions are actually really close to reality
Why's Bat such a pure-hearted angel? She deserves happiness like no one else for being such a maiden.
I'm marrying Bat. That's it.
Realize this. Everything in Monogatari is described by Araragi. Araragi said that words are not enough to describe how beautiful she is.
Meaning that Kiss-Shot is actually more beautiful then shown to us.
Many butthurt fags claim that Kiss-Shot is not pure because muh Seishiro.
>Kiss-Shot fucked her first servant
Even though the novels literally prove that she has less idea about romance then Araragi has. She becomes a stuttering mess when Araragi only praised her beauty.
Those faggots claim it happend before that whole ordeal with the Darkness. They don't care about facts anon. They just want to think up anything in order to bring her down. It's no mystery she cares about him, but those fags are really desperate.
>Araragi took what was probably her first kiss in order to shut her up
If anything, everything points to her not fucking seishiro, do people actually think they fucked?
>He was just a mercenary that she grew attached to
>Most of their communication was through formal meetings or killing oddities together
>Seishiro originally rejected being a vampire because he initially didn't love her enough to overcome his hatred for oddities
>killed himself right when he turned
>Kiss-Shot knows jack shit about interacting with a male
>Literally falls in love with the first guy to talk to her in 500 years
>can't handle being called cute or pretty
which nobu 4 you is the best? i like teenobu the most
Literally every scene in this is so fucking kickass. I didn't even understand half the shit they were saying and not for a second was I bored.
I could probably spend an hour just looking at those lens flares.
She's been the best since the second movie.
>your dick will never be in the same position as Guillotine Cutter's head
Well, good thing that she didn't though. Since everyone either died around her, cursed her to death or tried hunting her. We the readers can tell because Shinobu is very innocent in that department.
She has her idealistic view of romance, but the guy she likes passionately kissed her. Of course she's gonna enjoy it, even if it was moving faster than she was comfortable with.
I really didn't need to watch this whole thing.
Wasn't she the one who in the original novel pretty much calls Kiss-Shot out under threat of death from laser eyes? Or did they cut that out of the movie? Either way, that saved her from her attempted suicide by cop. You'd think the Batfriends would be thankful Araragi had such a supportive friend who is neutral about vampires and takes being called a bag of meat on the chin.
Why can't Batfags and Catfags just live in harmony?
Shitposting about Monogatari is always schizophrenic and contradictory.
>it's ecchi shit for braindead otaku!
>it's pseudo-philosophical shit for pretentious redditors!
This is because the essence of shitposting is reducing something to its most simple, surface element and just posting that as an insult. But Monogatari is so many things at once that it's impossible to pin down just one element to shitpost about.
Are you talking about this? It looks to me like it is intentionally going for the hyper-photorealistic style if anything. Like the whole pasting actual photos into anime and not even trying to match the art style up that SHAFT does.
>10 years for this
Is that a photo of someones actual head that they have edited? I could believe that if someone told me it was.
I assume they are drawing attention to how abnormal, disturbing and horrific Araragi finds the object by making it appear in contrast with the rest of the surroundings. They could have drawn the head quite easily if they had wanted.
>They could have drawn the head quite easily if they had wanted.
They already drew the full corpse 8 years ago.
Like they have yarn for hair. Like their head is perfectly symmetrical. Like they don't have eyelashes. Like they have absolutely no facial hair. Like they have no creases under their eyes.
What do you guys think of Vertical picking up a shitton of Nisio novels? They've got Nisemono and both Nekomono volumes, Zaregoto book 2, Imperfect Shoujo books 1 and 2, and Junnai Taisen all coming out. On the one hand, their localisations of jokes and terms can be awkward and unsuiting. On the other hand, they're at least high quality translations without obvious errors and inconsistencies like Yen Press have, and they're bringing across stories that would never ever get translated otherwise.
I only wish they do the whole of the Zaregoto series.
Fan translations are only up to book 5, but if you go on TVTropes there's a spoiler there that talks about how the relationship between Ii-chan and Kunagisa Tomo plays out, and I'm dying to know how it happens. I'm guessing that will be in the final book though.
>I only wish they do the whole of the Zaregoto series.
With them picking up book 2 along with tons of other Nisio stuff, that seems likely. They clearly have a lot of faith in his name to sell well. And yeah, I've read the fan translation and TV Tropes page. I'm most excited to to learn about Omokage, the fire girl who Ii-chan knew back in ER-3.
I know nothing about Imperfect Shoujo, and I like that.
The vow that defines their relationship from that point on.
>"If you want to die tomorrow, I’m ready to end my life tomorrow. If you care to live for today, then so will I."
They're angry at each other, but they don't hate each other. There's difference.
Books 1-3 are stand alone murder mysteries. You stopped at a weird place where the series is still somewhat grounded and resembling old school crime novels. But book 3 involves Ii-chan cross dressing and infiltrating an academy which trains loli assassins with Aikawa. It's the point where the series actually goes off the rails and is pretty hilarious.
Books 4-5 are a 2 parter which involve a botched prison break as Ii-chan and Tomo try to set free one of Tomo's old hacker friends who is being held hostage at a research facility. It drags on for a little too long in my opinion, but does some very interesting stuff, clarifying the relationship between Ii-chan and Tomo (which retroactively makes book 1 way more interesting), and revealing more of Ii-chan's past and true personality. And it ended in a super satisfying way where everything about the mystery and the chararcter's motivations clicked together in the final few pages.
Only a little bit of book 6 is translated, which is mostly just wacky SoL stuff about Ii-chan hanging out with girls Monogatari style, but it's fucking huge (700+ pages) and from what the TV Tropes page says it gets crazy later on.
And also from what the TV Tropes page says, books 7-9 are a single arc in which 13 opponents are set upon Ii-chan shounen battle style, which will be interesting to read.
Thing is, she is telling him that Araragi is the type of person who would save anyone in trouble, with an sad undertone to it. She believed that Araragi saved her not because of her but because that's just the type of person he is. Flawed.
Though, Araragi continues proving her otherwise by picking Shinobu above everyone. All Araragi's chooses after Kizu regarding Shinobu are made out of selfish desires to be with her. Just like how he refused the make her a god, even though this would solve a lot of problems. This comes not out of responsibility nor any guilt, simply his desire.
I saw I and II in theatres but they're not showing III here in the UK
Well, during their first meeting in Kizu, it was true that he would save just about anyone at any cost. It was over the course of the series that Shinobu became truly special to him.
>Walk into line
>It smells like cheese and Axe deodorant
>Nu-males talking about how the lolicon is kind of creepy
>Other people were stoners just wanting to laugh at so weird Japan
>Heard someone from an earlier showing that people were clapping and yelling during the screening
>Walk out of the theater
Already saw it in theatres but it was the best of the three for sure.
Hadn't read the books so I knew there was a groping scene but I had no idea what that would entail (other than groping). Whole theatre was laughing. Great experience.
Glad everyone can see it now.
That is true in Kizu, but Araragi is showing a change after Kizu. In Shinobu Mail for example it was more important to Araragi to fight Seishiro in order fight to stay with Shinobu then to help his saviour and lover who were both in trouble. This is a clear example of Araragi choosing one over others. He continues doing this also in Owari. Not because one was in more trouble then the others. Simply that is what Araragi desired.
>first waiting for last 3 episodes of Bake never
>waiting for Kizu translation never
>waiting for Kizu animation never
not to mention Zaregoto never
Everything is out an I feel old. Happy but old.
Not so bad compared to waiting for Tsukihime2/Tsukihime Remake and new Melty Blood.
Time flies very fast lately series that were supposed to be finished are getting continuations. Even fucking Spice & Wolf LN I put on hold with vol 5 got after story. Too bad most demanded things aren't happening.
But Nisio gave us an awesome story to replace the fight. He doesn't jerk your chain and then just leave you hanging.
I was curious to see Shinobu with the art style from the movies.
She looks like the best girl, as always
JC > JS (movie) > JS (TV) > JK (TV) > adult
We're all in agreement about this, right?
I'm so fucking happy right now
I love you all fuckers
>This is the most hardest Shaft has tried since Madoka Rebellion
>Shaft will literally never go back from doing slideshows
Fuck. I really wanted to see Monkey in this artstyle.
I'm tipsy but I think I can still hold a valid opinion for this. Anyone feel like the Kizu movies weaker than the LNs? While pretty, visuals like the characters were nice but the digital composite onto CG environments like the abandoned school were just not that appealing. They even took out some of the grit and feel with everything looking grand, big, and sterile than the cracked empty building Bake and Mono S2 painted the picture to be.
There was an instance where me and a friend of mine sat down to watch the first movie. The scene where Koyomi bursted out into the open in flames would've been awesome. But the helicopter shoot taken from direction and metaphor as a legitimate helicopter shot with sfx made it kinda pretentious instead. It was somewhat decent to think that monologues should be less present to non-existent in the movies because of a "show, don't tell" direction but the LN backed this into a corner where it was more fitting to leave it in. That is a complaint I have in general about the series but it stands out a lot in the adaptations.
My contention has always been that the novel has heavy internal dialogue that you don't get in the movies. Someone who has read it before watching the movies would have a lot more insight as to what's going on in Araragi's head, but I don't think it translates well to the "show don't tell."
You probably did better at describing the problem myself. I remember a train of internal dialogue with the confrontation with Cat but all we got were exaggerated visuals and blushing.
But there were moments like finding a bloody shinobu at the metro or Koyomi ablaze did it try to convey some sort of emotion from Koyomi but all this silence between characters made it seem like I was watching a really, really slow David Lynch style of dialogue.
As kind of the foundation of the entire story, pulling out all that internal dialogue and going strictly theatrical is probably a good move. "This is where it all started." I am not 100%, but I think somewhere in the novel he says something about never telling the story of Kizu, or never wanting to retell it, or something. It's kinda fitting; you see the story unfold as opposed to being told what happened.
I want LN subs now.
Nisio is the master of the anticlimax.
When Hanekawa transformed into a vampire in Tsubasa Sleeping, the two vamps that had her tied to a pool table literally just ended the fight after being schooled a bit and killed themselves. No big shounen throwdown for the viewer, no sir.
She also goes to work off the newly awakened blood with Drama-kun on adventures off camera. Off. Camera.
What disappoints me about the gym storage scene is that there is supposed to be an underlying awkward teasing going from both sides, and like in most conversations with Araragi, the reader should get the feeling she is humoring him a bit, and that Araragi is trying too hard to be dominant. It's supposed to be the two of them having awkward fun and then Araragi ruins it because he is a chicken.
I don't think they even had the part where Araragi asks her if she is perverted, she says she is, and he tells her that it's cool to be perverted. The shy giggle after that should be golden.
Araragi looks so fucking happy to continue spending time with Kiss-Shot, till the harsh reality falls on top of him about Kiss-Shot nature as a vampire.'
his delusions are true, it's just that he forgot about one tiny detail.
Uploaded a new encode from the original source. This version is 10bit x264 along with multiple audio tracks: DTS passthru, AC3 5.1, FLAC 5.1, and the audio commentary is AAC stereo.
Uploading to Mega now so it will be a bit, but here is the torrent: https://nyaa.si/view/938017
Are the subtitles from rickyhorrors releases of the first two movies ripped from the official English sub on the bluray or did he have a translator do them / copy subs from another group?
Unlike you people, I can watch it without subs.. Learn Japanese. It takes about 6 months to master but! you can finally watch anime and other Japanese stuff without having to rely on subtitles.
>No more antics between then really makes me enjoy this movie less
The highlight of this part or even the entire LN is Araragi and Kiss-Shot. Wasn't that like fucking obvious?
Thats not what it was supposed to be at all. She is visibly nervous but she plays along because she likes araragi and wants him to touch her. The dialog was basically the same as the LN from that scene.
Too little lead out. Keyframe snapping is inconsistent so I guess there wasn't an attempt that yet. The timing also cuts up sentences in several places often so it's kind of irritating.
Now that all three movies are out, whose subs should I use for 1 and 2?
Commiefor the first movie so far but have no fucking idea what to go with for 2, they all seem terrible
You ever love someone so much you just bite their face off?
>monogatari series almost completely out in tv form
is this what nirvana feels like? is this what I've lived for my whole life? what is going to happen after everything is over?
Kissshot is Nisio's, Shaft's and Sakamoto's masterpiece. She is a miracle. After Kizu 3 I fell in love again.
Fucking Araragi got two best girls ever. Well, he deserved them.
She's a miracle of the universe
I want Mamaragi to step on me while lecturing about parenting desu
I really hope you're just good at pretending to be retarded.
so theres no subs? Where would I get the subs??
Why is kizu cat such a slut and regular cat is such a bore?
Because the best girl claimed her prize first
This is like, the entire point of 2 of her arcs. She has pent up sexual frustration from not being with araragi (yet acting so ok that he is with senjo) and black hanekawa comes out of that.
Fuck, forgot an image to draw attention
