Why is Ozen the best girl in the Abyss?
Seriously, when I will recommend this manga to my friends, I will speak about the violence, the adventure, the fan service, and then after that I will mention that the characters are 12 yo
Would Ozen wife and mother to a cute daughter?
I don't, everything's in the archives and ch 42 thread didn't even have "made in abyss" in the first post
It did however have something in the lines of
"I'm making new thread (something something) 3/4 wanted it" so search for something like that
Are there any series with an Ozen-type girl as the main girl?
God fucking dammit boner druid, she even put you in the delusion
Stop making these stupid threads, they make much harder searching the archive for actual content
It was inevitable with the anime. It's only going to get worse.
It has its chances on being the next madoka, but it depends a lot on how good the anime paces everything up to the interesting part because unlike madoka where you got the hook on ep 3 we might not get to Ozen until ep 4 or 5
Speedreaders might be as bad as animeonly
"Swiggity swooty I'm coming for that bunny booty"
Bonedad will be a regular on "did nothing wrong" threads from now on
Season 1 will end right here.
I hope I'm proved wrong.
not so fast bitch
Was it fucked up for Reg to get a boner after getting his navel penetrated?
>exhibitonist lolidom nuzzling his dick
It was perfectly natural. Though Reg is a fucking saint for managing to keep it in his pants
Is there a character that could even possibly EVEN TOUCH Bondrewd? Let alone defeat him
And I'm not talking about regular Bondrewd. I'm not talking about white whistle Bondrewd either. Hell, I'm not even talking about white whistle Bondrewd with his full inventory of cartridges. I'm fucking talking about white whistle Bondrewd enhanced with the blessing of the 6th layer and countless artifacts of the abyss such as the soul slave machine Zoaholic making him capable of immortality, equipped with his curse needle capable of inducing the burden on those who touch it and ascending the morning star(Gangway) which can strike multiple targets, his body armor (canopy unto dawn) which is custom fitted with biofibers and other weapons, control of the moon touch, an abyssal creature that can capture any target, with his ego implanted in his praying hand followers and can perform origin-guiding light sparagmos which has the power to overwrite the rules of the abyss.
Nope. Didn’t think so.
>Why is this series somehow exempt from furry hate?
It's not. People in past threads have both complimented and criticized the author for including Nanachi and other anthropomorphic characters; although so far it's been mostly praise since the "furry" isn't shoved in our faces and the focus remains squarely on the plot. This is also why outside of the normalfags who are being scared away you won't see many people complaining about the loli's either; even the semi-lewd scenes serve a purpose plotwise, so even if you're somebody like me who has zero attraction to the MC's you can still enjoy the series..
>Is it mainstream now?
If by "mainstream" you mean popular among a very small number of people on /a/ who don't mind gore and loli's then yes, but if that's your standard for mainstream then you must be one contrarian son-of-a-bitch, and I sincerely hope you are, because I respect that level of asociality.
She is a mentally crippled asshole with ultimately good intentions. On the contrary, Bonedude is an extremely collected sociopath that manages to spew bullshit and mock his adversaries even in the heat of battle. They're really different and I hope Eldritch Lord and the other white whistle
sorry i forgot his title i just think that the beak mask looked coolerare just as interesting.
Jaded, scarred and lonely old cucked cunt cake who spent all her time building strength not to descend further into the abyss, or even research better ways to delve in it, but only to make boys dress up as girls and get drunk with her.
She's the most relatable character.
Its ambigous whetever they actually destroyed it or not, but if i remembere correctly that wouldnt had made any difference, they destroyed the body with the beast mode and the battle relics so the other bonedad bodies wouldnt stand a chance against Reg anyway
This manga really makes me feel like my life is boring as shit. The closest I've gotten to what Riko did was when I ran away for 2 days as a kid.
I know this is a speedreader-like shamefuru dispray, but when did Bonedruid actually say SUBARASHI?
Because that would be rude. What did the Soul-Slave Machine ever do to them?
So is the author going from Made in the Abyss returns to the abyss or is it some allegory for adoption and the horrors it leads to with a child trying to find their piece of shit parent and climbing the abyss to find her
As the Abyss is an allegory for hell as the entire thing is Japanese loli's Inferno it's safe to say that if her mother is at the bottom that she has become a complete monster/Lucifer who was once the most beautiful but is now ugly beyond measure.
So I do think that is likely, Reg can be some kind of stuffed doll her mother left her before putting her up for adoption.
So in the end I guess the manga would just be about the despair of an orphan in a search for the reason of abandonment which turns out 9 times out of 10 they were just really shitty people
My bet is that she's somehow the daughter of the Abyss, her mother fused with the Abyss at the end of her journey and is calling for her. The Abyss will end having some kind of conscience of its own. Also, I'm not that sure Reg is from the Abyss.
At the bottom of the abyss is the most terrifying monster a loli can know: the Japanese truck!
Go visit a cavern tour. Shit's comfy as hell. My dad used to take me up to this one place called Lurray Caverns, and I was always hype when he suggested it. In hindsight, it wasn't that amazing, but visiting a cave and progressing through different areas that looked so very different was enjoyable.
forgot about that, you're right
called it couple of weeks ago but now I think we might actually see the fight with papa and that would have good sides and bad sides
I've been wondering about it, she has no need to since she can just bathe like a human so why would she do it this way
>We will never see new best girl animated
I don't even follow or know much of anything about this series, and even I find something strangely alluring about the bits of this Ozen chick that I see from these threads now and then.
She has an intriguing design and demeanor.
She can take normal baths, likely this is simply how she clean herself fast or Nanachi is simply fixing her hair
Nah her mother is the Annihilator.
I can't see her being a mother of the abyss
Not to mention the Abysses barriers are clearly meant to keep something in. Odds are MC's mom has become that something
>nanachi should have used Mitty as a coat
>Reg gets another waifu material
>clothes that regenerate
>Mitty goes on adventure
I did the middle nanachi too
Because it came up in the last thread. I still think his tail was artificial. First, there's no indication any humanoids with tails exist anywhere in-universe and second, he calls it "equipment". All counterarguments can easily be disputed.
>there seems to be blood coming from the tail, isn't that proof it's natural?
No, only that it's organic. We already know his armor is made from organic bio-fibres.
>he grows a tail after getting his blessing, surely that proves the tail is part of his organism?
Well, not really. Nanachi also grew a tail when getting her blessing. She had none before.
I like tall ladies
Also her hair is wicked awesome
Don't tell me you don't want to wake up to this in the mornings?
What's going to happen at the 2000 year mark? Is everyone going to die?
>ywn have bitches rushing to you at the club like these chads
The armor doesn't bleed or become fluffy. Why would the tail be the unique example of a piece of clothing absorbing the blessing? How can we accept the argument that it's because it has bio-fibers when other bio-fibers clothings do not behave in such manner? I find it much easier to reason that the tail is either a result of mutation or was surgically grafted.
Whoa there, that doesn't sound like new ideas of a higher plane. Why can't you just enjoy the company of your beloved daughter
as she plays with her papa's rid?
I preferred the granite tablet etchings myself. His artwork's come a long way since then.
Yeah I assume that panel was drawn before shit was finalized, especially if that black whistle to the right of Lyza is supposed to be Torka, who's a fucking manlet.
>that height difference between Ozen and Maruruk
You mean "can", not "can't". And yes, Bonedude could become Bonegirl if he wanted to. Doujinshi where he tricks Ozen into touching his Soul-Slaving Butthole Machine and then fucks himself when?
There is nothing wrong with technological experimentation
Why don't you marry him then
Unlike many other mad scientist types in anime, manga and other kind of medium, Bonedruid was legitimately inches close to absolute success though.
Deep down in the Abyss, there is factually and legitimately nothing wring with technological experimentation. Who knows, maybe Riko and the company have caused more harm than good, and given the nature of the series that may even be true.
4 TRIPS FROM 6TH LAYER TO IDOFRONT, 6 TIMES A DAY
DO YOU WANT TO ATTAIN ULTIMATE MOFUWA OR NOT
YOU GOTTA DO WHATEVER IT TAKES, DELVER
shouldn't this much fluff be illegal?
>Deep down in the Abyss, there is factually and legitimately nothing wring with technological experimentation
What i can't wait from the anime is the compilation video of Nanachi noises
>every single name for her bodyparts
Did she actually give Reg a blowjob?
How many times are we going to hear subarashii if they do the Bondlad arc?
>I race the dawn
>I conquer death
Same guy who voices All Might from Boku no Hero Academia, Miyaka Kenta. Imposing without being overbearing.
What do you mean? The story is relatively simple the complexities are all within the mechanics of the abyss and I'm pretty sure those were planned out from the start. It's not hard to follow at all.
>Ozen's monoeye is actually her sadistic smile
Reg meets a princess. Turns out, princess knows reg from before he surfaced. Somehow, his name was Reg then too, Reg gets weirded out and scared and tries to leave which makes the princess get possessive. Meanwhile, Nanachi has a discussion with Value-Man and it turns out Mitty may still exist in some respect, which is causing Nanachi a crisis. MEANWHILE, Riko is shitting herself inside out due to hotel food.
I was actually about to grab that from the bookstore here soon since I've only just now been reading through his novels as I'm late to every party. The Invisible Man is like a kicking and screaming child compared to Bone Fluid (though as was stated numerous times in the book most of that is because of how insanely impractical and grueling being invisible in his society really is)
Though more than anything I would fucking kill for Akihito's rendition of The Time Machine in manga form. We have a decadent and surreal future in which the world is beautiful and somewhat outlandish on the top but deeply layered with a cruel and disturbing reality beneath it, the surface is populated exclusively by what is basically a race of lolis and shotas who do nothing but be painfully cute all day, playing games and engaging in lewd yet playful sexual acts with eachother until darkness falls and the real tragedy kicks in when they're harvested by the semi-sentient subterranean vestiges of the working class for food. Then at the very end there's giant crabs, a tentacled football and a screaming butterfly. Apparently.
If I didn't know any better I'd say Akihito traveled back and time and wrote it himself, sounds exactly like his kind of story in hindsight.
SHE WASN'T ACTUALLY A MIDGET ALL ALONG
If I were to guess, a guy beside her to the viewer's right would be her shota, no longer being a shota.
By the Abyss, I forgot that this picture existed and thought people only come in shota/loli, papa's praying hands, hella big woman and Habolg's sizes in here
But it isn't a mistake. It was obviously a story development choice, the author didn't "Accidentally' have this all new character call him Reg, have Reg himself get confused, and have the all new character explain the circumstances all in the same goddamned chapter unless it was deliberate.
When that pregnant woman is still swinging around the same pick-axe she killed everything else with. And also she's followed around by a giant passive-aggressive fist.
They might have lost the bell, but no-one said anything about surviving foreign delvers. Twelve times they invaded. Twelve times they were thwarted.
Faputa is Riko's soul reborn as an abyssal creature after she died prior to being resurrected by the life cube. Reg is Riko's dog, whose soul was reborn as another abyssal being after it died, which is why he has such an unusually good sense of smell and hearing for a robot.
The first thing Riko did after she was born was crawl toward the abyss, because she was instinctively trying to reunite with her other half. Faputa gave Reg his name because it's what Riko did for the dog. They made the same choice because they were both once the same person.
Its a weird choice, not really as thematically appropriate but also not on the same level as ludwigs theme for example.
I do appreciate a fellow BBfag in the thread though,
and the fact that Tsukushi not even acknowledges the existance of that game but also reposts its art on pixiv makes me squeal.
My bad, I forgot to post the most key point to that theory which would tie it all together, without a doubt:
Nanachi is my fucking wife forever, she has been claimed by me in the most canon of ways and no one else can ever take her.
>Faputa gave Reg his name because it's what Riko did for the dog.
That's not what Riko said. She said, "It's the name of the dog I used to have."
Lyza could have named the dog. And then named robo-boy because he reminded her of it.
>Anon descends into the abyss with a desire for /ss/ that dwarfs even Bondrewd's ambitions
>Succumbs to the curse which transforms you into the object of your desires
>His depravity is so immense that he becomes the ultimate Tsukushi shota instead of a writhing butthole
Makes a nice conversation starter
Can Ozen even get pregnant at all? Would she even be able to feed her children with her breasts? Would she even want to be a mother or would she just toss her baby into the Abyss?
Yes even the boob is pretty terrible.
But at least the situation depicted is hot, and there isn't much lewd of MiA, so I won't complain too much about one of the best pairings being represented
I want a series with Lyza and Ozen going on adventures together. Two best friends killing things.
Ozen has 120 of those pins in her body. Her muscles can withstand a ridiculous amount. One wrong move, and she'd probably crush her unborn child by accident with the sheer strength of her muscles.
At least now Riko can use Reg's arm as her own Graviton Beam Emitter. She can't just be a damsel in distress, she need a weapon. That as ranged weapon, Blaze Reap as melee.
Sorry seems you posted the wrong images, this is the best pairing
Are people really biting this cheap bait?
I've just finished reading the 38th chapter which I guess is the latest one thats been officially translated, so did Bondrewd let them pass with his whistle or what? The final page seemed really symbolic, considering how the ray of energy and the surroundings sort of imitate the pattern of his helmet.q
They did get it back, but they didn't put it back on. As evident from chapter 42, his arm had no nerves or flesh, not even circuitry. It was pure metal, like cutting a rod in half. They could glue it back on, but it wouldn't work. I doubt they have a means to restore it since he's a relic, and broken relics tend to stay broken.
Sitting at his desk, hands and head in the Gendo pose, saying "Subarashi. Now Nanachi, what will you do here?" as lights flicker in the dark room and reflect off of his broken helmet
>City can read your deepest desires
>When they first get there Value-man comments on Nanachi's status among the End results and inquires about her drive
>Now he's asking her to convert herself to value yet again
>Now Mitty is suddenly on the table for trade even though she got annihilated.
Looks like a con to get Nanachi to sell herself if you ask me.
I don't get why Ozen, who barely appears in the manga, seems to be popular. She's old as shit and pretty ugly desu
That doesn't have to be related to what is happening with Nanachi. The original question was just about Mitty2.0
But if we know that creatures in the Abyss can see consciousness through the way it influences the force fields, and Faputa is an end result like Nanachi who should also be able to see forcefields. On top of the revelation that the city itself can read not just the mind but the soul, it's possible that Faputa's claim that Reg has always been called Reg is just another lie. Hell even those flashes of memory could be fake since we're still not sure if he really knew her or not prior to him leaving the Abyss. Plus I'm not a fan of this Soul reincarnation theory that cropped up in the last couple of threads.
It seems like something that was hinted before. It's a solid theory.
What you're posting is very similar to what I proposed in one of the previous threads, but I did concede that the theory was much smaller in scope compared to the whole soul business.
What are your thoughts on the falling nametags, out of curiosity?
Mostly because it makes no sense. If Riko was stillborn and didn't name Reg until she was at least 7 years old. The idea that somehow her soul was connected to her body and echoed that decision doesn't mesh. Expecially after we see with someone like Mitty that souls do in fact remain trapped in the bodies of people altered by the Abyss and Riko was able to see this in her own near death experience.
It implies that her souls is firmly in her undead body and not reincarnated as an End Result which is what Faputa is.
>Mitty that souls do in fact remain trapped in the bodies of people altered by the Abyss and Riko was able to see this in her own near death experience.
Riko wasn't altered like Mitty was though. Riko straight up died and came back to life. They have very different circumstances surrounding them to meaningfully connect them.
But we're not at the bottom of the abyss yet. And the Princess/Faputa is suppsed to be a fixture in the 6th layer. Even allowing for time dilation to be at play here it seems more of a stretch to say that Faputa=Riko's soul. I would believe that wherever souls go is somewhere in the Malestrom
>Riko straight up died and came back to life
Yes, I'd forgotten. Be that as it may there is still more evidence to support Riko's soul still being in her original body given what transpires between her and Mitty. Unless you're going to tell me that she has a second soul or something.
"You go on an adventure to someone who wished for life". I find it hard to understand the exact meaning of this sentence. Generally speaking you don't adventure to someone. You go on an adventure with someone or toward a place. What is the correct meaning here? Does the reborn soul goes on an adventure toward a fateful person or with them? And what's with the part "wishing for life"?
She's having gangbang sex with an army of shota robots, and during a rare moment of lucidity between never-ending orgasms she thought "hey I should send a sexbot to my daughter!" because she is a good mother.
So correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I think the terms are for receiving the blessings.
When you ascend from the 6th layer you receive enough curse to turn you into a rug, however if you are able to have someone else bear the burden of the curse for you (this someone(s) may have to want to bear the curse for you in the case of mitty for Nanachi and purshka for bonerdude) after the required amount of curse is passed off the person who is left over receives physical changes to making them more animalistic and granting them special/hightened abilities. Is that what you guys got out of It?
So every 2000 years there's an apocalyptic event around the Abyss, right?
Does the event engulfs the whole world or just the surroundings of the Abyss? If the Birthday Disease is anything to go by then it should only affect the people surrounding the Abyss but this is inconsistent with the supposed discovery date of the Abyss, because if it only destroys the surroundings of the Abyss and the rest of the world remains unaffected shouldn't other countries know, or at least, try to figure out, what the fuck happened in Orth if everyone and their mom around it died suddenly? And that it happens every 2000 years? And even if we say that it really destroys humanity all over the world I don't 2000 years is enough to rebuild civilization from prehistoric age to let's say renaissance-age civilization. Does the Abyss get re-discovered after every apocalypse by the newly born human civilization?
So which is it? Both explanations have unfilled holes. And most of all, if we assume that every layer is 2000 years, that means that humanity has not been able to git gud enough to get to the bottom of the Abyss in 14000 fucking years. How sad is that?
>But we're not at the bottom of the abyss yet.
Unless it's completely literal, the 6th might as well be the bottom given the hurdle that's required to pass through the 5th. It's entirely separate from the upper layers and only those the abyss lets through are allowed in. It's also a bit of a mystery how there's an entire city filled with end results there. They can't have all been like Nanachi, and even if they were it would have taken white whistles escorting them down.
I don't get something.
Was Ozen actually in love with Lyza or were they best friends? I feel like Ozen just really really cared for Lyza and didn't like sharing her since she was the one and only friend she ever had in her entire life.
>It's also a bit of a mystery how there's an entire city filled with end results there.
Take his words with a grain of salt since I still feel like this is part of a ruse, but Value-man does say that Bondrewd was leaving things behind.
There is also the idea that for a long time in these threads we have speculated that the civilization that preceeded the abyss left remnants at the bottom. End Results are effectively immortal, we don't know how long they have been down there nor how many cycles that city has seen over the millennia. You could easily justify the population by saying that it was formed over 6000+ years of people penetrating to that area.
I dunno. At first, it seemed like Ozen took Lyza under her wing but over time she earned her respect and she began to see her as an equal and as a friend.
I mean Ozen doesn't say it outright but it's pretty obvious losing Lyza really hurt her a lot. She even bothered to go down a few layers to find her grave and to make sure that she wasn't actually dead.
I just wished we got more exposition on the two since it seemed like it could've been a cute friendship between the two.
Yeah, but the ocean doesn't have cool-ass magical relics. And it's not breathable too. You can bet your ass if those two issues did not exist even the fucking Mariana Trench would have been raped in every hole already.
Have you ever had your best friend suddenly get a girlfriend out of fucking nowhere and then he stops hanging out with you as much as you he used to do? And now imagine that your best friend is also practically your son you raised yourself and taught him everything you he knows.
That's exactly what happened to Ozen. Even if he's not a turbolesbo it's pretty understandable for her to be butthurt about her friend getting "stolen". Specially by a fucking manlet.
>Have you ever had your best friend suddenly get a girlfriend out of fucking nowhere and then he stops hanging out with you as much as you he used to do?
You know how Ozen ought to have the strength of 120k people thanks to the pins, but quite obviously doesn't?
What if the pins aren't a passive effect, but have to be activated? If she hasn't been drawing strength from them? If Ozen's current strength is just the natural unenhanced level of a white whistle like her?
Can you blame them? Is a cute bunny!
I expect the last layer to be some sky scraper filled city nestled in some dome which stands as the last testament of a dying civilization from thousands of years ago.
>origin-guiding light sparagmos which has the power to overwrite the rules of the abyss.
would be interesting if the Incinerator never actually kills, but instead teleports you to the bottom of abyss
Anon, if an animal consumes it's own resources at an incredible speed causing it's own early death as a species, well that's an unsuccessful animal.
>End Results are effectively immortal
They aren't though. Maybe as far a lifespan, but Bonedrewd killed tons fighting Reg in chapter 36, the one that hurt Menya got killed, and Bonedrewd said that Menya was an exception to the usual with her regeneration.
That does make me wonder if Prushka is immortal like Mitty was, considering she was used in a blessing experiment, and so won't appear in this layer if the reincarnation theory is true.
Ozen didn't know that the box rezzed people until it happened to Riko. She probably decided to bring the stillborn Riko back up out of respect for her best friend who just lost her husband and daughter. Then all of a sudden Riko started crying again.
>but Bonedrewd killed tons fighting Reg in chapter 36
With a weapon that violates the rules of the Abyss. Same as Reg's Beam it's the only thing that can injure or even kill these things.
>the one that hurt Menya got killed
Skinned and flayed but still alive. Even Value man comments that out of all the End results Nanachi is the only one who is "properly Alive" for whatever that implies.
>Bonedrewd said that Menya was an exception to the usual with her regeneration.
Which is why that end result isn't regenerating his wounds after being torn to pieces.
>I knew I should have made that left turn at Albuquerque
I’m glad thanks to the anime more merchandise will be made, cute little things
this is what happens when you reach the bottom
I don't know why people keep asking this. It's clearly indicated (pic related) in the very first chapter that it's El Dorado, which would mean this is there:
So, if -IF- Lyza's still alive at the bottom and she doesn't have her pick-axe relic, how does she continue to go about her annihilation?
(and I'm not even asking if she'd still be doing so or not, because y'all know she would be)
Ozen mentioned that Blaze Rip is in bad condition despite the everlasting gunpowder inside of it being in pristine condition, so she may have picked up a new weapon.
Wouldn't be surprised that she'd find some advanced weapon at the bottom if she's there.
>wide-hipped narehates everywhere
So in the 6th layer we're going to see the ruined city, the hermit rabbits, the iron rain, and the ferocious lizard egg things according to lyza's letter.
Gonna be a great layer, I can already tell
There is 0 history of the Abyss before 1900 years ago. There's almost a 100% chance that it world hops or completely goes to a different era. There wouldn't be multiple layers of civilization spanning over 12000 years without some history out there. Unless it has the ability to completely erase the memories of people outside the abyss so that they forget about it until it reopens in 100 years. But the relics at the bottom are so advanced I find it unlikely that it's the same world/era.
The Annihilator has acquired the MAMA'S ROD, an artifact that is essentially a really jacked up Incinerator+Blaze Reap combo.
It's worn like a strap-on and it can fully recharge her army of robo-children.
Through navel penetration.
Is it too late to switch out Riko as main character but keep the rest the same?
This one wears glasses and can cook too.
waterfalls are the opposite of constipation
The Blaze Reap part is just for a melee option to complement the Incinerator part's range option. Gotta excavate them holes without damaging the goods.
Given that Jirou just went to see her in the side chapters I would wait until the next volume drops. She might become a fixture in that storyline.
I get some vibes of Naussica and Laputa from this.
We're never going to see anyone from the surface-layer 5 again, anon. There's no going back now, and there's no way they would descend to the 6th. If Ozen is confident that Lyra's alive but hasn't descended yet, there's almost nothing at this point that would make her.
In anthologies and side stories, which I suspect we'll see plenty more of. Akihito loves his setting too much to give it up, I wouldn't be surprised if Orth's story continued after Riko's ended.
Also, rare Maruruk, please save responsibly.
Which anthology? There are plenty involving Ozen. But yeah, most have been translated.
Ozen deserves to be happy, too.
I really don't get what Ozen's scary face is supposed to convey
I want to drink the レグ!
I don't want to drink the レグ!
Insanity and the twisted darkness that has ingrained itself into her very being through years of delving into the abyss and returning to the surface. Quite literally she is always standing on the brink of madness.
>7$ for a rice ball
For this price it better be made with shotabot semen
Soo every time ozen go down to the abyss she is always happy?
Or she is always smiling, isn't that like never smiling?
>Or she is always smiling, isn't that like never smiling?
>Ozen is badicly a giant weird Tomoko Kuroki
>actually kind and lonely, just weird
>she becomes super attached and dependant in a weird way
>she's acting all shy and timid
120000 men power vagoo cuts off your dick like hydraulic shears
