I was one of them and I was satisfied with the first episode.
You're right these threads will probably be awful. I can already tell people are going to run "you liar lol xD" into the ground
All the people who kept beating off to Flip Floppers and all the guys who want the next big trainwreck have been anticipating this show. I never expected anything, and even then I am dissapointed considering how worn down the jokes are already.
We finally have our AOTY.
These threads have been comfy, smart, and hilarious. Le'ts just hope they stay that way.
Whoops, wrong pic
Is this show as deep as Sagrada Reset?
You're a master liar. Are you a spy?
I want to impregnate Ange right in her boipussy.
why was this guy dressed like a nazi? is this an intentional parallel or just a poor choice of outfit?
They even have something for the footfags.
That's a British Army uniform anon.
>tfw I can't even go to those threads and discuss the anime at all.
Thank god for original anime like PrPr.
Why does she wear the glasses?
Just one more, this guy is just too funny.
>I want every girl to rape me
>not wanting to rape every girl
are making the right choice.
iirc he goes on to say the difference is that a demon demands something in return, but a god gives to you out of grace. Not really pretentious when it's not so out of context.
You best be joking. There's even breasts.
Tell me this qt would be alright lads
so it's guaranteed a wild ride, even if it turns out shit? Count me in, the lying aspect has high potential for keikakus
I'm going to take so many Ange screenshots and post them every time I lie on /a/.
Something about the school uniform in real life looks off, but I can't quite place my finger on it
>slept for 5 hours
>missed a whole thread
It probably won't keep going like this, but I'm loving it.
It doesn't count between two girls.
Ange will rape Princess on screen confirmed.
It's been a while. I can post them again.
I want to fuck Ange's big stupid butt.
>that magical girl anime about the girl who was a thief
Not ringing any bells. The closest thing I can picture is Phantom Thief Twin Angel, but those aren't actual thieves they just have Thief in the name of the show.
Looks like an ISIS propaganda video to me, which would explain it completely.
Only thing I can think of is Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, but I don't see it at all.
Or maybe you're thinking of the thieves in Milky Holmes?
I don't remember milky holmes being this dark before.
It's a lie. But also this is. And that. It's all a lie. Except this. I'm lying. Not true.
Not a webm, but I have this. I can make one.
I actually had to resize this stitch to 10k width. The real one is 14k.
The uso keikaku is going to get tired quickly.
The show's visual aesthetics and music are both fucking amazing, as well as the setting. I also really like how Cavorite is teased as well and not really explained, leaving room to show how it works in action (which may go well or not).
Still not too sold on the characters. They're cute and all, but they don't seem to fit well and don't really have room to develop either.
I'll be following it, but not really expecting any AOTS quality from it. Hopefully it'll prove me wrong.
If anything will be truly cancerous to this show's threads, it's salesfags. I miss when shows used to be judged by their quality and not a number that an insignificant fraction of /a/ contributes to.
Mayoiga was another breed of forcing trainwrecks. Other than acknowledging the writer of PriPri no one is really forcing anything here.
Besides, all of the trainwreckfags got their fill from Kado last season.
So the question is, is Ange being a double agent and Princess knowing all along part of her backstory, or something we have to look forward to as part of the main plot?
Maybe they're sisters and one or both aren't aware? It looks like they have the same eyes.
Someone fucking HAS to make an "I Want My Top Hat Back" with the ED artstyle.
Even Planetes turned into a hell of a ride for the last couple episodes
>there are people who still remember that soap opera plotline
Also the princess was actually Nina
I put off watching this until the morning because everyone was saying stuff like this and I wanted to make sure I was awake, razor-sharp and on the ball catching everything and understanding all of the complex, nigh-incomprehensible plotlines being threaded together with nary a care for the audience's understanding.
I watched it and now have absolutely no idea what any of them were talking about.
First episode was OK, would have been pretty popular 10 years ago. The use of the gravity sphere is the only inventive bit and it was just Gravity Rush; episodic plot was predictable and not as poignant as they wanted it to be, characters are super bland, pretty sure I've seen everyone in another show this year.
In fairness, there are more than a few points that could have used a bit more focus, but the case was overall straightforward.
I can't wait to see what the threads are going to look like if they ramp up the complexity.
Don't you badmouth the ninja, nigger.
how the fuck did that even work? it looks like she just cut through the side of the cab.
first off, that'd break your fucking sword and wrists no matter how many times your katana's steel is folded. second, why does that make it flip end over end? she didn't cut through the tired or anything, the vehicle looks intact as it's flipping
jesus christ that's dumb, fucking dropped before i even picked it up
What benefit does them being high school girls add to the show? It feels so forced. Other than that I really enjoyed the first episode.
I, too, watch anime with magical spy tomboys for the realism.
if you watch it slowly, the front left wheel is still completely intact as the flip starts, but disappears after the it changes to the landing shot. it's crappy attention to detail and makes it confusing.
Because it feels a bit silly. They're spies. They could be part of some organization or the government, etc, but for some reason they also have to be high school girls. The show has a fairly serious tone so it's at odds with itself.
You forgot your picture.
>monarchist is a cartoonish buffoon
What kind of pleb wrote this?
We've already seen anti-grav with the Cavonite orb, but it seems like Cavonite has some crazy green glow which didn't happen. Honestly, having it spin out of control into a wall would have had the same effect, but wouldn't have looked as cool.
My liking of this series is going to be made or broke on if they're actually high school students or not. I'm praying the school is a front for their spying, if not this will be a drop for me. You can't mix a flashy spy story with high school girls, it just doesn't work.
They're all still school age girls, so they'd be there normally.
It gives them a place to congregate.
It also gives their organization and its activities a convenient cover.
Most people watching this show, and anime in general, are also in high school.
Where do you people even come from? You sound like you've watched less than 10 anime to be complaining about muh high school girls. It's not even detrimental to the show.
There were few people who really looked forward to it, the rest were shitposters ranting about 3Hz and whether or not the show was yuri. But the first episode turned out tobe pretty good and now we've gotten 4 full threads already.
There. I did it. The show makes perfect sense.
/a/ and 2ch need to stop fucking complaining.
>I seriously can't believe that people actually needed the plot explained to them.
Then you're not in the 2ch thread.
They're saying that maybe the show makes sense to an English audience and that the OP is explaining plot points they're missing.
I thought you meant an infographic explaining why people thought it was confusing. I mean, there are a few details to catch on a rewatch, but the main structure of the plot is totally out in the open.
This show really doesn't need to be explained like this if you have an ounce of brain cells but this is well made none the less.
I'd also include that Ange dropped bullets from her hand after telling Eric his gun was empty to sell the lie, it's a very nice spy-ish move by her.
>Amy and Beatrice learn that Amy is suffering from cavorite poison
Was this intentional?
>Eh, this is an episodic series.
Aren't they all, initially?
Damn anon, I'll acknowledge you are well organized and have an eye for aesthetics.
Other than some special terms, which will make sense later on, I though the story of the episode was easy. Even too blatantly explained by the ending.
There is a wall in London. Dude wants to defect to the other side and contacts people who do that. His sister has a disease. Turns out he was lying about that.
The spies caught onto his lie and killed him, but not before getting the insurance and giving his sister some treatment for her disease
It's nice to see another true-espionage anime. It's pretty rare to see one at all per season. It's annoying though to me that they don't just explicitly say Britain split apart. Instead they make up some country called Albion.
Although that's just me being nitpicky over something so trivial.
The setting has some elements that are unexplained so far, but the basic story is very simple, even for a spy thing. James Bond has been in more convoluted plotlines than this.
Writers didn't change so far, no way to tell yet.
>show is "too complex" for /a/
>run of the mill spy story, not even particularly interesting aside from the cute girls
Are you all trolling? Have you never seen a spy story before?
Its interesting how they use east and west sometimes and north and south other times. In the world outline on the website they say the Republic of Albion is located north of London.
Is London shared by both sides with the Republic being to the north?
Also the whole commonwealth thing the subs do no idea why they use that. Republic seems far more appropriate choice of translations seeing as it was an anti royalty uprising and the Kingdom of Albion still controls the colonies.
Can't they just hit them very hard? they are like 15.
Nobody even cares in Japan. They've had 400 posts on 2ch total about the show since it aired.
There were some 2ch nip reactions posted earlier though
One of them does complain about complexity.
>Eh, this is an episodic series.
Why are people saying this? It started from the first episode prescreening, but there's nothing here to suggest it'll have particularly low continuity.
I wonder if Dorothy's fibbing exchange with Chise hints towards a huge misunderstanding between the team in a future episode, maybe they screw up a plan because they misunderstood a plan due to either telling a lie or the truth
Is Ange going to kill this cute rabbit?
>people bitch anime is just sol, moe and fanservice shit these days
>when something with simple story that requires you to pay bit of a attention comes and they even explain everything in the end just in case, anon needs explanation sheet that has probably more words than the episode itself to understand
>I don't really understand what was difficult to understand about this episode.
There's like 95 fucking subplots going on and they keep name dropping characters left and right.
Ange is an unreliable narrator. She literally says, "No I won't shoot you" while shooting Eric.
She literally tells Eric that Amy is fucked, but then proceeds to fix Amy.
For your own good i really hope you are just pretending here, anon.
>Using that stupid word literally
Idiots will be doomed to be idiots
There you go again, using words you don't understand.
Their 3D vehicles are really good though. Only other show from Actas i've watched and finished was the bike show and the actual bikes were really well animated, while the rest not so much.
So as long as they only handle the nonhuman 3D everything will be fine
How do you people even watch films?
the OP seems to suggest that Ange will either be a double agent or at least has her own personal agenda relating to the Princess
People weren't lying when they said that flip flappers flopped because the audience was too dumb to understand the symbolism and implications. No wonder anime is turning to shit.
Make the girls slightly older, ditch the high school shit.
Change ninja girl to something more fitting of a western setting.
Maybe explain just a tiny bit more for the absolute retards watching it
It's pretty obvious from the episode that she's lying about something major and Princess probably already knows but is playing along. I just hope the big betrayal and angst plot doesn't get stretched out too long.
I saw this shit before in a drawing by Takagi author but didn't expect it to be a Cavorite.
This show looks amazing and I want to cosplay it already. How do I do it right?
>in before /cgl/, I'm not going to a cesspool of 3DPD
Wait for overpriced low quality merchandise to buy. I'm not a buyfag so I don't know how that works but there's constant buyfag threads on /a/ where you can look for info.
Or just buy cheap, low quality-material and make the clothes yourself, less money spent but more work that way.
The Queen wants to liberalise society and increase class mobility but since the revolution reactionary politics have been on the rise resulting in the strengthening of the class system and royal authority. Perhaps the Princess cares is in agreement with the Queen and thinks that society needs to be liberalised and is willing to take down the royalty even to achieve that.
If the writer's previous work in Code Geass and how its royal family went, a lot of backstabbing and secret cults are going to be revealed.
>the revolver is the only thing in the episode that I can understand people not getting because not everyone knows how revolvers work just like Eric
That and shows and film often don't pay that much attention to detail when it comes to firearms handling (out of either ignorance, production/editing error, or plot convenience), so even if you know how guns work it's sometimes surprising when they actually do make sure the little things are right. I'm personally used to firearms in non-game media just operating as drama demands so it's a pleasant surprise when an editor actually counts out the shots when putting the final cut together, remembers to operate the action on a manual-action weapon, or remembers that guns are fucking loud.
It's just a normal show but considering that anime tend to explain the simplest shit three times with visuals I wouldn't wonder if otaku would hate this and call it "pretentious" or complain about plot holes.
I wish that happened in ACCA, but the MC ended up being tamer than I anticipated.
Where in the fuck did she come from? She wasn't in the room at all before!
Is Dorothy the biggest slut of the girls? All the other girls seem pure, someone has to be the slut.
The worst thing is that /a/ is still the board with the best understanding of this shit so no matter how many retards complaining about a too complex plot we have here it's probably still way better than other websites.
I honestly love this the most. Series that are nothing but lighthearted bore me to death after a while and pure dark series are usually either tryhard or monotone, the combination is the best. I usually don't care about tea time shit but when I see it in an otherwise dark series like this one it makes me happy and I have the urge to see more of it or I root for the characters more since their lives are kinda shitty and I want to see them finding happiness or something.
This anime shows you what it is about so I'd say better. FF had the potential to be really good but you didn't know what they're aiming at. As long as you liked the first episode of PP you are kinda save unless it will get some really stupid genre shift but I doubt anything will be like Kado again, at least not for the next year.
