Is Bone Daddy the greatest father in the world?
Not even kidding, this guy is legit the best villain I have seen in ages. He kills and loves in the name of science and even congratulates and admires his enemies when they defeat him.
This man needs to be voiced by Rejoicing Priest
>everyone saying he's a piece of shit
>Alter egos sugesting ending Prushka life early was an act of mercy
>Decides shell be alright and lets her live on a happy life protecting her
>Wouldnt had turn Prushka into a soup can if she hadnt insisted
>Fight with Reg was to test what the perfect body was capable off
>It was obvious that if the gang didnt defeat bonedaddy at 100% they wouldnt be able to face whats next, so this fight was a test to them
>at the end once his perfect body is defeated he lets the gang proceed without causing more trouble respecting Prushka last will of both helping his research AND helping going in an adventure with Riko and the gang
How will other white whistles even compete
Would Ozen be a good wife and mother to a cute daughter?
>7-foot Amazon with inhuman strength
>Socially awkward as shit and has little value on human life
>Spooky ass face
Ozen is cute, cuuuute!
She has breasts fit for feeding children and strength to carry them
We have no idea, there are 7th known layers, they are on the 6th one right now, but there could be more since no one knows what the blue ring at the bottom of the 7th layer is.
Not only that but the 5th layer alone took like 2 whole volumes, 6th and 7th could be of similar length.
>tfw she's also taller than you
it hurts even more ;_;
The mangaka retweeted this, so fucking cute.
Whose cave they found in the last chp? What was the purpose of the creepy ass hair manipulations?
That's good, but I'd much rather have the typesetters start threads and threads made when a new episode/chapter is released, or occasional threads talking about the manga with tweets/side chapters/random theories threads.
I feel like we're going to have daily/hourly threads for the next 3 months.
No. Post Maid in Abyss. Remember what thread this is.
After loosing most of the crew, aborting the mission for a stillborn child, being forced to take care said child that ruined her hopes of ever getting togheter with Lyza after it got resurrected by the magic box with Lyza having to fuck off to the bottom of the abyss forever right after that, leaving her in charge of training the corpse of a child again knowing theyll never see each other again. i would be bitter too
/a/ is too big and fast for that sort of thing now, at least when there's a lot of sudden hype around a series or when something is popular. There's no use trying to go back to how threads and speed were on /a/ 10 years ago, we just have to make these big, constant threads as good as we can and avoid generalfaggotry and 'edition' cancer.
Hot damn that's awesome. Is there pixel art of the other charas like that?
>Lyza was flat
>unchanged by the abyss
>Ozen has tits, corrupted to nearly inhuman proportions
>Nanachi is flat
>Got blessed with the furry curse
>Mitty had tits
>She turned into blob monster
>Prushka had tits
>Got turned into soup
In this series having tits is a death sentence
>h-he knows all their names
He actually loves them and they all still love him as well. You know what? That really only makes it worse.
So rereading this chapter, it seems pretty clear to me that Bonedrewd never copied his Ego into the praying hands but instead jumps bodies into those prepared by the Zoaholic. It's doesn't seem like there's infinite Bonedrewds, there's just 1 Bonedrewd who can jump bodies.
That also explains why Nanachi commented on the praying hands being strangely slow. If they were fully conscious Bonedrewds they would have easily been able to keep up.
whois Lyza's whistle made out of?
who isn't these days.
The mask at least does something.
The only good "scan sites" as you call them are either Batoto or the scanlator's sites, and the scanlator's site in this case is Batoto, like it so often happens with manga nowadays.

Episode 9-13 (28-38) - Bonedrewd arc
This shit is tough. I'm probably off, but here's my estimation.
You're probably right, I was thinking each individual pin added the strength of 100 men and she has 120 or something along those lines. Need to check
Either way, you're getting horribly fucked up when she decides to take thinks to the next level.
>Artifact is said to give like, totes, a strength of a billion guys or something
>Anons take it at face value
Just wait until the edginess comes in and then it gets popular because of the fucked up shit. Then every maltard and redditor will attach to this series like ants to a jar of honey.
Pacing wise there's no reason to have the descent start until episode 4. They spent time characterizing the orphanage kids they're not gonna jump into just abandoning them right off. There's also lot's of places were the anime might add stuff that was skimmed over, like the Ozen training or the 2 months Reg spent at the orphanage
Just one was enough to let her climb back out of the abyss when she would have died normally. Even if it isn't literally 120,000 men, she's still absurdly strong at this point.
Yeah, I'm not saying that it's worthless or anything silly like that.
Just exercise some common sense when reading artifact descriptions, these things are sold at an auction, so of course features will be exaggarated.
Look at the PV's. The first PV is pretty much all footage from episode 1. Second PV contains footage that goes all the way to Nanachi. Nanachi only appears in chapter 20. Why would they show something from that far into the production of the anime? If the anime only adapted 2 chapters per episode, then the footage with Nanachi should be from episode 10.
The second key visual has Reg and Riko and Nanachi on their adventure already. Why would the second key visual contain what would basically be the end of the anime if they adapt with a pace of 2 chapters.
Also, the second key visual is suspicious. How many adaptations have had what would be the end of the anime as a second key visual?
Both mangaka should do a collaborative one-shot together about food, because they both get massive hard-ons about that shit from what I've seen in DM and MiA.
I want to be like him. Unfortunately it's impossible to acquire starving street urchins in my country. We don't even have proper slums here. Sad. Should I move to America or Africa?
It's the first episode, don't get comfortable.
I'm already worried about the QUALITY that made it through.
It's rough around the edges in a couple ways that seems to me like "we were going to get back to this but ran out of time" and that's never a good sign.
>The Praying hand actualy prays for the children to succeed
I want to say it's because all the food's prepared by a dwarf with an absurd amount of years spent perfecting monster cooking while in MiA it's all usually prepared by Riko who's like, 12.
Senshi cooking abyss monsters for Riko and friends when?
He's just being nitpicky, the first episode delivered on multiple levels and even had a bunch of subtle sakuga moments. You can say that every anime has QUALITY if you nitpick everything and pause on a key frame.
Main girl is already dead
She couldn't and didn't survived the walk back from the 4th layer to the surface, Lyza asked Ozen to her put her in the box so she could be blessed into an abyss undead.
The first thing Riko did once they took her out of the box was trying to crawling back in the abyss
Beside that Riko is flat so not only she will see the bottom of the abyss but will be the first wbite whistle to ever came back from the 7th layer to the surface
There were a few nitpickier scenes that gave me the overall impression of "having trouble meeting deadlines further down the pipeline" but this scene practically screamed "Placeholder animation that never got finished" to me
Have you seen the animation of the giant bird flying away? Whoever cleared this is either blind or couldn't afford to have it redone. Stuff like this in the first episode is a very bad sign. There's obviously no reserve time buffer left for the production. Any further unforeseen obstacles and the project will fail to meet its deadlines. In the best case they can just postpone the releases a week or two, in the worst case everything goes to the dogs. We've seen that happen before. And it wasn't pretty.
That was actually the animator experimenting with weird stuff.
"In this case though, Aninari is in charge of the show’s bizarre monsters as their designer, and that gives him plenty of room to experiment with nightmarish creatures. Anime fans tend to hate different approaches on principle, but I can’t blame anyone put off by his sequence in this episode."
>but will be the first wbite whistle to ever came back from the 7th layer to the surface
By the time they come back from the Abyss, Natt and all of Riko's friends would probably be adults well into their 30s while she's still a cute little girl.
The only low-quality moment that I can think of in the first episode is when Reg is being Metal Gear Shota.
Ya'll replied to 2 people, and low priority scenes is how it starts.
With enough years of this you'll get good at preparing yourself for disappointment too.
Any QUALITY in the first episode is a warning sign, increasing QUALITY in the second episode is when most people start to sound the alarm and episode 3 and 4 is where shit usually hits the fan.
I liked how the artist gave the creature that "straight out of a book" look to it as it's sauntering toward Riko. It really gives it an alien look to it as if it isn't a natural creature in the world. Really reminds me of A Scanner Darkly and the early bits of Waking Life in how it's animated.
That wasn't even QUALITY, that was a subtle funny thing to do with animation.
I think you need to read that blog post. Maybe you'll appreciate all the use of vertical orientation they had throughout the episode with the well thought out lighting and the vertical camera shots, when they could've just done things regularly.
If those are tits then this boy has tits too.
It adds up you know. 120 pins that give the strength of a 1000 men. One man can easily hold up 10 kilogram. So she should easily be able to life over 1000 metric tons. This is all but confirmed when we hear that she can support a 10 meter tall rock. Assuming the rock is made of granite (density of 2.7 tons per square meter) it should also be in the 1000 tons range.
She just needed Nanachi to teach her
The translator uses a name and the person posting scanlations is just one person of a whole group of typesetters. I think this guy with a trip might be the one responsible for typesetting volume 6.
>tfw I'm an idiot
I only just now realized why Blessed by Abyss Bondrewd could wreck Reg so hard and wanted the blessing in the first place.
It's pretty easy if you're a little dedicated.
When i want to find a chapter i just search for "Nanachi" with images in the archives and look for anything that looks like they're responding to new content.
Works every time.
>>- Zoaholic destroyed
Unconfirmed. And in fact, considering that the Praying Hands, and him, are confirmed to be alive then that means Zoaholic is still functional and it is required for them to be.
>- Single eye instead of multiple eyes
Well, duh. It's a new body. Did you expect him to stay fluffy too?
>- No pose
He's looking at her daughter set-off on her journey. There's a time and place for poses and that's not one. It's supposed to be a solemn moment.
>Ozen has 120+ holes begging to get filled with dick
Not sure about buying the BDs. It's too expensive, even though it's MUCH cheaper than Japanese BDs.
I'd buy the volumes, though, even though the translation might be terrible. "Cave Raiders".
Is $10 typical for an English volume of manga? Seems pretty steep. Still, $60 isn't that much.
Maruruk is voiced by the girl who did Yui and Uihara.
I couldn't even tell, because Maruruk actually sounds like a manly little boy, and not a cute girly voice as young boys often sound.
Is he right? They did not achieve much with that fight, to be honest. Bondrewd is still alive and he will continue to do experiments on children.
Scenery was great and music was fantastic.
I'm kinda surprised they animate the little movements of a character when moving. The hesitation in steps, the stuttering of steps, the twists and turns. You don't see that often.
The fight was pointless except for character building. Prushka's death was an important step into giving Riko a white whistle and progressing the story. Unfortunately in this world that's just the way it works.
>fight served no purpose
It lewd to Prushka turning into a white whistle, allowing Riko and her friends to go to the sixth layer. Their goal was to ultimately fend off Bonedrewd, not defeat him and stop him from his research. There was no avoiding confrontation since he ran that outpost as well, and that since Reg is so particular, there'd be no way Bonedrewd wouldn't try getting his hands on him for research.
Prushka is to Riko what Mitty was to Nanachi and this whole arc serves as a mirror to Nanachi's own experience in the past.
>Riko got a white whistle
>Reg learned more about how he works
>Nanachi got closure
>Bondrewd's lab is in ruins and seems to be supporting Nanachi's dream now instead of his own
Half the manga has been leading up to the end of that arc, it's absurd to say nothing was accomplished.
>One pin gives the strength of a thousand men
>Ozen has 120 pins on her
That's the strength of 120000 men in one body.
>An effective way to evaluate the average's man strength is to look at familiar exercises that work multiple muscle groups. With this in mind, the average untrained man can squat 125 pounds, bench press 135 pounds and deadlift 155 pounds.
Going by this Ozen can bench press 7400 tons and deadlift 8300 tons.
there seems to be a lot of little detail that they could have omitted for the sake of brevity or budget, but kept in regardless, im pretty excited to see if it continues with these little nods
The animation is so fluid too. You can tell the studio really loves the manga. Or maybe the studio is high quality in general, not too familiar with their works.
The show is so atmospheric.
The privilege of drinking with Ozen must be balanced with becoming the little girl.
>All of Bondrewd research, experiments, investigations and pretty much all he's been working on for years gets destroyed
>He gives them their blessing and sends the people who did so with his best wishes
>Ozen gets NTR'ed by a manlet
>Becomes a bitter, jaded hikkineet who takes out his anger with a poor shota by making him crossdress and BDSM'ing him
Why is Ozen so damn pathetic?
Anyone else cry here? I'm not sure why I did...
>bdsm on a shota
>ozen is a male
What the hell is don't remember any of this.
pic related and there's also a part where reg talks to him that implies it
>They aren't that big
Anon, those things penetrate at least an inch deep into the skin. Keep in mind that Ozen is huge, so the pins look smaller than they actually are due to her size.
>The amount of people who think the anime won't reach Bondrewd arc
The monologue at the beginning of PV2 is straight out of volume 5.
Why would they ruin his work? Self-righteous, out-of-place Hollywood hero bullshit for heroism's sake? They have no motive to do such a thing, it would be totally out of character.
Riko shares Bondrewd's practical scientist mentality and just wants to proceed to the bottom of the abyss. The toaster just wants to protect Riko. The only one who hates science enough to seek its destruction is Nanachi, but she is weak and frail and can't harm Bonedrewd.
How in the flying fuck you ever made to think that Prushka went wrong? She was completely and absolutely perfect and Bondrewd going fluffy is the result of it. Do you people just look at the pretty pictures or something?
Prushka was dying during the processing stage, so Bonedrewd decided to raise her as his daughter IIRC. Scientists and the like never name the animals or creatures they're working on/with to avoid getting close to them.
Oh shit you are right, there is hope.
>that one autist calling people asking questions "speed readers"
If you search for "speed" on this page, there are only 3 instances. One is from you, the other one is from >>159562393 and the last one is from >>159564764. And >>159564725 deserves to be called a speedreader when Ozen herself mentions the pins and they even appear on their own section on one of the extra pages.
Basically, kill yourself.
>being this butthurt about being called out
>calling me, me of all people, out for my lack of self awareness
She's a daughter of one of the delvers turned prying hand, she wasn't part of an experiment and likely had to use a cartridge herself to survive as a small child in the 5th layer. Papa didn't intend on using her until he saw how devoted she was when she saw reg and co destroy his body the first time
Bondrewd has found a way to split the negative effects from the positive effects of the curse. But for doing that, he needs somebody who is willing to give it all for him and willing to survive until the end, like Mitty did for Nanachi.
How he found a way to split the curse form the blessing and how he liquefies things is a mystery.
>She's a daughter of one of the delvers turned prying hand, she wasn't part of an experiment and likely had to use a cartridge herself to survive as a small child in the 5th layer. Papa didn't intend on using her until he saw how devoted she was when she saw reg and co destroy his body the first time
What? That's not it at all. First of all it says carriage, not cartridge in that panel. Nowhere does it even hint at anyone but Bonedrewd using the cartridges.
Also, Bonedrewd planned to use her from the start. You think he's saying she should watch because he actually think it would be good for her? No, he was planning on being killed in that fight so that she would be willing to give anything and be the sacrifice he needed to get the blessing.
every thread was full of papa Boned discussions and I'm growing bored of "he's probably literally the best villain I've seen in ages" but it's far better than animeonlyfaggotry and wimps who don't know of the archives and have to be spoonfed
So her parents are definitely dead right? None of that "Oh I was alive all along you thought I was dead didn't you? Oh wait what's that sound? Run ahhh" bullshit
Also do they give deep divers any kind of weapons or are they expected to provide their own?
>>Ozen has tits, corrupted to nearly inhuman proportions
Ozen is canonically small to medium.
I'm sure her mom is alive at the last layer and has found a way to survive the 7th layer's curse without the need of a white whistle, but needs her daughter to continue in the next ones, as she's an abyss child and probably holds some key to exploring the abyss fully. Reg was sent to fetch her and is misled by her letter
More like devour her herself and take her shotabot along for the ride. She clearly is in some hibernation state or something as she doesn't need her whistle or weapon to survive and sent them through reg to bait her daughter into following her. Reg made the grave on the fifth layer and left the weapon and letter there most likely after he was brainwashed/reprogrammed
artistmyself I think it wasn't
What it wasn't?
The one shot? Are you kidding?
Question regarding Prushka.
Bonedude basically put her liquid consciousness and spirit into a jug an strapped it to his back, yes?
So, when she was getting drunk by her pet, she can't feel it because no nerve endings, but she knows it's happening? And similarly when she's getting poured out onto the ground, when does she stop 'thinking'?
Because if she still has her consciousness while being digested by the squeeze toy pet, or seeping into the ground of the Abyss for eternity, that's pretty fucked up.
>Bonedude basically put her liquid consciousness and spirit into a jug an strapped it to his back, yes?
He shoved her brain and vital organs into a jug after surgically removing all of those out of her body while she was still conscious, yes.
Nah her mom is a grotesque abomination that was given the miracle of being the mother of the abyss and spawns All the life and blessings of the bottom.
She will be cleansed by love
Final shining form and goodbye
Entire manga and bosses seem to be about the horrible people that put their kids up for adoption and personify them as monsters. So from Main characters perspective it's the only way.
>Finally seduce Nanachi
>Swiggity swooty, I'm coming for that bunny booty
>Light starts shining from Reg's dick
>Turns out his dick was a third incinerator
>No more bunny cunny
I shouldn't have read the one shot. Why does this author like to make lolis suffer so much?
>Went searching from /a/ to find more of him and prior works
>Just realized that the artwork which first led me to /w/ and then /a/ over 10 years ago was by him
She got 10 happy good years and then maybe a couple hours of sadness and confusion before she turned into tang, he did nothing wrong.
Does this manga has anything to do with ICO or shadow of the colosus.
It really gives that vibe.
The girl wanted to explore the abyss and the robot boy is tagging along cause he's a robot with extendable arms and isn't affected by the abyssal curses, plus he can shoot a giant fuck-off laser which can kill anything.
>a lonely panda
What did he mean by this?
>after he was brainwashed/reprogrammed
There is no indication that this ever happened. The earliest know moment of him having lost his memories is right after Riko gives him an electric jolt that causes a citywide blackout and makes black smoke come out of his mouth. I think Riko fried his memories.
Maybe somewhere in the middle of layer 7 he will suddenly remember that he is the terminator and that his real mission is to burninate Riko.
>they didn't destroy the helmet which is what they needed.
The helmet doesn't do shit. It was only there so that Prushka would have a face to associate with her "father."
Read this page again >>159562860
>There was never need to kill him though
He murdered his daughter their friend and keeps trying to kill them?
Also how the fuck do you discover that a heart is a whistle?
Did someone get near the 6th layer and rip out their friends heart and start using it as a bag pipe?
So we can agree that in terms of sexyness it goes like this
And I'm not even gay.
Know that you mention it.
>Did someone get near the 6th layer and rip out their friends heart and start using it as a bag pipe?
What are the chances of Lyza being terrible compared to Bondrewd and literally doing this?
>He murdered his daughter their friend and keeps trying to kill them?
The point was to get into the 6th layer, that was the objective, Bondrew was the obstacle.
About killing their friend, can they really say something about it?
Not only their friend knew what was going to happen, but after everything was said and done they used her organs to make a whistle, they benefited more than Bondrewd from her death.
Because you're memeing. Ozen was the same before she even met Lyza, losing her only friend didn't really change her lifestyle or personality but she was saddened by the way all of it happened.
>being a contrarian
You have to go somewhere else.
To give you a serious answer, it hasn't been fully explained what a "blessing" is but it in some way brings you closer to the essence of the abyss. It let's you sense the forcefield and in doing so partially negate some of the curses. It'll likely be explained in the near future as the next arc seems to deal with Narehate and another bunny girl.
Have a horsie.
>and another bunny girl.
Where is this bunny girl?
Sorry what do the whistles do again? I haven't seen anyone use it yet,
Also what is that metal band on Reg's head again I swear someone put it on him, but i forget.
She look enough like Nanachi to make the assumption that she's a blessed one. Also with all the talk about blessings and Narehate in the recent chapters it seems logical.
Well, duh. It's outright states that she's a narehate that is not bound to the city and can move freely, but it's not stated she's a bunny, like it's implied in this post >>159570226
Not sure if this is really fluffy. The body seems to be entirely made of long hair. Assumed this is hair and not something tentacly.
The "hair" to the bottom right of her look like legs standing on the Big Daddy, and the 2 "tendrils" flowing towards the bottom left look like arms. She very clearly has a humanoid figure, she's just very fluffy
One question guys,
What gives a 'blessing' to someone?
From what I read, a blessing, or a life-revebrating stone is formed when one takes the curse for another that they love or they believe in..
Am I wrong?
Episode 2: Lyza's message + descent into abyss
Episode 3: Fighting birds
Episode 4: Getting to Ozen
Episode 5: Getting asskicked by Ozen, survival training
Episode 6: Going down further. Maybe find Tamagochi.
Episode 7: Get shishkebap'd by tamagochi, introduce nanachi
Episode 8: Nanachi stuff
Episode 9: mitty is kill
Episode 10: meet praying hand, burn field, get to Bonedude
Episode 11: Prushka stuff
Episode 12: profit?
From what I understood, a life-reverberating stone is formed when a person gives their life to another one fully, like if it's true love or something like that. It has to be the purest form of trust/love/whatever. You need to have absolute trust in the other person and basically be willing to die for them in order for you to become one of those stones.
As for the blessings, those are different. Remember that the curse from the 6th layer is "either death or loss of humanity". Apparently, Bonedude has found a way to negate death and to split the negative effects from the positive ones by using two people. The negative effects of the curse are transmitted into one entity and the positive effects are transmitten to the other entity. The positive effects is what Bondrewd calls a blessing while the negative effects seem to be the rugs.
How would sex with Ozen be like?
The thing with the blessing is that even with his device the other person still needs to be willing to do anything to protect the one getting the blessing, It never worked with anyone before Mitty/Nanachi because they didn't have the desire to protect one another and it only worked for Bonedrewd because he used Prushka.
Getting a blessing is therefore very similar to the process for making a whistle. Bonedrewd even said that he stumbled across the curse splitting while trying to make his whistle.
