This is a two-thousand-year-old dragon.
Say something nice to her.
This was such a nice, comfy, heartwarming episode.
The super grandma, the fistbump, and the crying scene are probably my favorite moments.
She has been with us since S1, and we knew nothing about it.
>been around for thousands of years
>obviously quite fertile
>the dragon gene seems to be dominant
>immensely strong in both their human and dragon forms, to the point where only the strongest demons/angels can compare
>are not lone wolves, live in a tightly knit, friendly community
I can't stop being baffled by the fact that the dragonfolk still don't rule this world and instead are reduced to a small village.
What the fuck?
i have had this thought that before humans, gods and demon, only dragon folk existed
Gabriel did mention the weapon was from a similar era
And perhaps Bahamut was one of the Dragon folk who somehow got so much power
they have many episodes so it would be good they did some world building
> The dragon gene seems to be dominant
How do you figure that? They spend most of their time in human form.
> baffled by the fact that the dragonfolk still don't rule this world
Seems like it's just not ((usually)) in their nature to leave their community, they just want to live simple lives with their families. With the exception of Nina, even all the dragons that have left the village have done so only to support their family.
They all seem generally laid back and non-aggressive, plus none of them really seem to look down on normal humans or anything, so I guess it's only Nina that's an anomaly in terms of wanting adventure and excitement.
>How do you figure that?
Nina's mother is a human, yet Nina herself seems to be at lest no weaker than an average dragonfolk. Her transformation issues, as we've been told this episode, are probably tied to a childhood trauma and not any physical limitations.
Nina seems like a bit of an anomaly in terms of draconic power, since her dragon form, even as a child, was bigger than the other childrens that we see now.
At least, there's something special about her power, that much has been hinted at already.
>her dragon form, even as a child, was bigger than the other childrens that we see now.
We do not fucking know that, her dragon form at that time was never shown side-by-side with any of the other children or grown ups. The only difference we can clearly see is the color.
What are the chances that she knew Bahamut personally? Possibly his daughter? This massive crater is suspicious and I'm thinking Bahamut made the larger sub-crater in the center while oba-chan made the one next to it, given their respective sizes.
We don't know if dragon strength is dependent on age or if it diminishes each generation.
Maybe if Jeanne wasn't such a self-absorbed bitch, she would think to ask this massive dragon who's from the same era and was even there to witness Bahamut's first emergence we would learn a little something.
Could be an age > power thing, after all, Nina and the other dragons we've seen aside from grandma have all been immature/adolescent, at least as far as we know.
That being said, I do think the grandma is a pureblood, considering the dark skin and yellow eyes, but I doubt there's much significant weakening from half bloods, Nina's dragon form is apparently very strong considering how old she is, and all the children in the village sans Nina can transform easily into what look like strong immature dragons.
I'm half-tempted to say she's a pureblood as well, but you have to remember just how absurdly massive Bahamut is. It's also possible that Bahamut's another anomaly, like Nina compared to the other children. With the introduction of the dragonfolk this season, I'm really just hoping we find out who or what Bahamut is, but I've got the terrible feeling granny is going to be used as a taxi service and nothing more, leaving me with just my headcanon.
We may just find out what Bahamut actually is this season, but as it stands, I'd definitely consider it an anomaly compared to normal dragons. Bahamut comes across more like a magical phenomenon, curse or some kind of godlike creature, rather than any conceivably normal dragon.
after credits, that looked like our friend bahamut coming back...
>talks while getting shaved
He deserved that cut.
I didn't want to believe it, but Lucifer will be back.
fug, this show gets better with every episode
I actually really like the new OP is has a interesting style to it
It's in Abos where Bahamut was sealed and it looks like a forming inter dimensional portal. The levitating rocks are also similar. Abusing forbidden magic might be related to Bahamut though as the dialogue seems to suggest with the "exceeding all limits." Those limits might be either the forbidden power usage limits before Bahamut awakes or the limits of the power usage necessary to keep Bahamut dormant. If they go the "Cheerios abused forbidden magic knowing it would wake up Bahamut" route there will be no redemption for him, but judging by the dindu nuffin angle they are pushing with him he might have been using the magic to keep Bahamut sealed.
So you're puking with your brothel demonfu when THIS guy walks up behind you and takes you away.
What are you Orleans Knights gonna do about it?
This is your prostitute for the evening
What shitty luck does she have to have to be selected as wife material by cuck captain
Are they worthy successors?
Nothing wasted since this point. Everything since 2014 is just cherry on top.
They are nothing alike. If you are looking for equivalence try Sindbad and Proteus.
Basically the fantasy successor of these guys
>Cynical charming rogue X white knight idealist
>Nina has better tits than Jeanne
What did they meant by this?
that Nina has better tits than Jeanne
Alessand is on the hit list when demons rise again and realize he cucked all of them.
The new OP is bad. I like engrish, but not when it's this much and this terrible.
I'm not a native neither, but it still bothers me. Compare it to the engrish here which is far more easy to listen to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZrjz1ORCVQ - plus a much better song/voice
My friend of african descent. She's so fucking best, neither Jeanne nor Nina can compete.
I'm not hating Genesis as much as some people here seem to be, but I'm slowly defaulting back to the position I had back in S1 of not caring much about the main plot and just wanting wacky adventures with Favaro/Kaisar/Rita
Never. Nina is too retarded and naive to ever actually stay mad at anyone.
>Gabriel is going to become fallen angel
>Onyx troopers are going to rebel against Cheerios
>Dragon village is going to get wiped out or Granny Dragon is going to die.
Shadowverse anime when CyGames?
I still haven't given up hope of seeing her, lads.
Jeanne having no experience herself and not knowing Nina is talking about Cheerios adds to the scene, personally.
>Nina acting as if she understands sexual intimacy when she can't even stand near a handsome man without dragon beserking
I really want this scene.
>It's no use. Only Charioce can turn me into a dragon now.
>Well, I got frenched by the archangel Michael himself. So I know a lot more about turning somebody on than some cherryboy!
>Jeanne, what are you..mphhmmmm?!
Does this look like how a father looks at their daughter to you? Where are you from, Alabama?
I don't think he meant literally father and daughter relationship. Though I like their teacher student dynamic.
Wow, it's actually pretty much the opposite. It's way more comedic than the subject matter would imply.
It helps that all the really serious drama gets piled on Jeanne. The poor girl needs a break.
Come on Mappa. Give her a comedic scene already!
Wasted opportunity, honestly.
I'd rather have a gay end woth Nina becoming Mugaro's stepdad, than her winding up with handsome Hitler.
"Cut my face pubes." said Charioce the faggot.
"But your face is as smooth as a baby's." Replied the barber.
"Did I stutter?"
So he did his job and oops a teensy cut.
"wwooooow 0/10 barber I can't believe I'm paying you for this."
"You don't pay anyone, my liege."
This guy's worse than Gilgamesh.
There's basically two definitions of high fantasy. One is basically Lord of the Rings, while the other is fantasy with a very high level of fantastic/magical elements. More than anything it's just not a very useful term, but Bahamut is a decent example of the latter kind of "high fantasy"
Yeah, it's like 99% of the time he's a huge asshole, even to his human subjects. But we're only meant to pay attention to the 1% that Nina likes.
This is just weird. If Charioce is supposed to be sympathetic, actually show him doing something nice. The fact that he let the barber live after nearly causing his death isn't going to sell me on him.
He's not polarizing, the only people who like him, enjoy him BECAUSE he's a gigantic literally hitler douchebag and claim he's a good character to get more replies.
Now on to important matters. I want to get a handjob from Cerberus and see her reaction when I refuse to let anything but her puppet-pal hands touch my schlong.
4chan isn't a good barometer of popularity.
I feel like Charioce would actually have to come across as a chill dude outside of his hatred of the gods and demons, for any normal person to be on the fence about him.
>people watch this and don't even know the basic lore
Bahamut is the literal cycle of destruction and rebirth. They had to seal him and then banish him because he can't be destroyed. He keeps coming until he succeeds and everything starts over, and judging by how everyone is getting fucked up, I have an inkling he'll succeed this time.
Who's Favaro? lol
Jeanne reminds me of Casca. Also I like big titty angel on the right
Guys I work for mappa and Ive read the script for the whole season. Everyone is almost dead at the hand of Bahamas, Alessand then reveals himself to be the male reincanripn of Amira. He defeats bahamut it. Cheerios dies, demon prostitute gets a sex Change and becomes king with Jeanne. Alessand and Nina ride off into the sunset. Azazel becomes a priest
When are the Nina x Every underage village boy doujins coming?
To think I was so excited for Nina initially.
How did they manage to make a genki girl so bland? It's especially egregious when what little screentime Favaro does have easily outshines the majority of hers.
I just want S3 to come soon so we can go back to Favaro's adventures or something.
This whole thing feels like a really boring diversion from the hook we were promised at the end of S1.
>Tmw Cheerios brings out the gimp.
Azazel looks like a fucking clown here. Fitting, I guess.
>the hook we were promised at the end of S1.
what are you referring to?
idk, the fantasy elements are interesting. there's a worthy successor buried somewhere in here but they waste so much time on boring romance shit and handle some plot transitions so incompetently that the whole thing kind of blends together into a mediocre mess. they need to axe this writer and find someone who treats the fantasy/narrative as the primary focus instead of backdrop if there's ever going to be another season like the first.
VS will end with Bahamut banished to another dimension again
together with Favaro who is revealed to still have the tail, a proof of contract validity between him an Amirawe will get few OVAs about Favaro bringing Amira back S3 will start with Favaro and Amira returning to their dimension
No, fuck you, another season with le witty bounty hunter in the starring role would've been boring as fuck.
Season 2 builds well upon the foundation set in S1 and its better paced because of the increased episode count.
S1 wasn't well paced at all, there wren't any quiet moments to learn more about the characters.
S2 only gets action packed about every 3 episodes and it's lead to a show more satisfying to watch.
>just look at these threads
As soon at it is humans vs non-humans /a/ goes full retard because le humanity fuck yeah.
It's the sam as is /tg/. You can't take those people serious, because they make any shit up to make humans look like being the right ones.
I wasn't digging this ED as much as the previous, but when the dance scene came on I had to pause for a moment while I finished laughing. There's a lot to like here.
>How did they manage to make a genki girl so bland?
Like that's hard. There's always an innate contradiction with how much pluck and conviction they have and how they're too retarded to come up with anything themselves.
>Dad said magic is to make people happy!!!
>Chariot said a believing heart is your magic!!!
>Lucifer in the OP
>Anyone who isn't a delicate and sensitive leftist flower of a gentleman like myself is a Chad.
>Even if he's nothing but a sweetheart to the girl in question.
The reigns of history back in the hands of man.
Only the reigns of history are Nina's tits and the man in question is Cheerios.
Leave Azazel alone.
He's an avenger of the disenfranchised,a friend to all children and a brilliant dancer as well.
>Azazel, my man, I just finished that book and went to the kitchen for a glass of water
>Did you rearrange Cocytus or something?
>What do you mean, invasion?
>And why are you chained up?
I think Jeanne would rather have Aza-nii take care of El than Gabriel or Sofiel who weaponize him and take his virginity respectively.
>Only the reigns of history are Nina's tits and the man in question is Cheerios.
That's poesy if I ever saw it
The thing with Nina being so genki is that things don't get to her or affect her that much, so for the most part it seems like she's either apathetic or doesn't really give a fuck about anything. But on the bright side she'll get over cheerios' death pretty quickly.
Personally the explanation they gave for Nina turning into dragon sound really retarded and convoluted.
>hats the hots for daddy
>sees hot guy
>remembers of daddy
>turns dragon because memory is too sad
So basically to gian control over her transofmation she needs to get over her daddy issues. Shouldn't this be established a bit earlier so we could have a tangible character arc for Nina from the get go? The running man in the OP is her dad right?
>on the bright side she'll get over cheerios' death pretty quickly.
You are horrible, anon
It's not that she doesn't give much of a fuck, but she seems to be repressing hurtful feelings like her father's death and opts to look at the brighter side of things. She's uncomplicated and doesn't waste time moping around which I find quite endearing.
It's not that endearing when it comes to other people because it really makes her look like she doesn't give a damn. Also apparently repressing stuff is not that good for her if it makes her explode into a dragon to relieve them.
>cutting someone's face as a barber in now acceptable
>being this much of a dirty pleb
Everything is trivially easy for them.
They have no need for money, since you outrun a deer, and procure your own food.
Disease can't fuck with you, because you're a fucking dragon.
You can dick a fucking hole and turn into a human for shelter.
Need warmth? Rip a tree up and breath fire on it.
Why would they have need for an empire? They don't even need servants to do anything for them. They can already do everything they ever needed by themselves.
Last time Lucifer did move his ass was when Bahamut appeared. Since he didn't interfere it means he doesn't consider Dromos or Charioce a Bahamut-level threat yet.
Also what if what they are looking at at Abos is not a rift to a dimension where Bahamut was kept, but a dimension where Lucifer was imprisoned?
Lucifer being the final boss for Charioce would be neat.
Because they're in the minority and they don't care about pointless concepts like "progression." Regardless of their power, you can only accomplish so much when you're outnumbered. Look what happened to Bahamut and he was the strongest of them. They seem to value living alongside nature more than trying to conquer it, as well as others. They have different priorities.
In the end, civilization is the biggest meme of all. Savages in Amazonian forest are the ones in the right. Too bad I'm so addicted to porn and internet I can't do anything
Your entire skeleton and part of the tissue remains and needs to be further processed. What your family gets is actually just a small scoop of your actual remains. Not to mention the amount of fuel and energy it takes to burn a human corpse and the toll it takes on the ecosystem. The fastest and cleanest burial method is being dumped in liquid methane and dehydrated. This way the only thing that's left from you is a stash of organic pink powder with fertilizing properties. Anyway, why are you talking about getting cremated, that anon only told you to die, so do you mean you want to be burned alive?
Why? You're dead so why should you care? Honestly if you want to die in the woods then leaving it on the ground as it is is the quickest way to process it back into the system.
>'Dromos' is a passageway into an ancient greek subterranean tomb.
What did they mean by this?
