I guess it's hard to not to compare it to the popularity of other things in the show. I mean, it's the same show, so being "popular" in general by some standards doesn't feel like it means as much when the show and other characters and ships are insanely ahead of it in popularity. It's certainly not a hated ship and is Fairy's most popular I think but again, it's definitely more popular in the west and I guess I'm sensitive to comments from antis saying WTTM and BikeFairy focus was a waste or that SayoKubo shouldn't bother with it anymore because it's not that popular anyway. He's obviously het as fuck and the program was supposed to be him giving manservice to a GIRL and the only reason they decided to include Otabek was because Kubo thought it would be funny if it was his first FRIEND instead. It was a bait fanservice decision because they know their audience by that point are all BaldFat fujoshi so they assumed they would get wet over a hot guy starefucking Fairy more than a fangirl husbandofagging.
