It was good, but it could have been a lot better.
The ending felt rushed and the animation was pretty bad overall.

I'm surprised to hear you say that, because I found the ending very satisfying. I thought it was heading for nonstop doom and gloom after the Kroka episode (;___________;) and the alien reveal, and instead they tied it up pretty well.

Also the animation wasn't exceptional but the director knew his shit. There was some really exceptional shot framing, especially in the Maki scenes.

Nobody in this thread has named a single Eva clone yet. Not one.

I mean, shit, I at least expected someone to chime in Rah Xephon(which is also not a ripoff of Eva, it's a ripoff of Reideen, but that's a whole other argument).

Eva seems to be becoming more legendary and it's discussions less logical and tangible as time goes on. It might actually copletely supplant the bible and become it's own religion in a thousand years.

Not Asuka is nothing like Asuka, and to top it all, there's 2 of them. She reminds me more of the bitch from Gundam Wing. Her parallel universe version of her is top waifu material
Not Shinji is similar to Shinji in looks. Both of them are betta faggots, but Not Shinji doesn't come as annoying and creepy as the original does
Not Rei is TEH REI in all aspects until a certain point, when she becomes "Not Rei in that alternative timeline where she's a normal high school girl"
