BONES is infamous for fucking up sequels to their own originals. But what about prequels? Anyone expectations for the 1st Summer of Love?

Is the trilogy gonna be a complete prequel story for all 3 movies or will it have a recap of the series in between?

Thanks for the replies. So I guess the first movie then taken by itself can maybe serve as a "prequel" to the original E7 seeing as how it is about The First Summer of Love. And everything after that will more than likely be an AU.

Question then for all /a/nons, if the trilogy does turn out to be good while keeping to the same themes and ideas that people loved about E7 but manages to also sort of retcon AO will you accept Hi-Evolution as the definitive version? Or will you still defer to the original?

I liked the original series but everything else associated with the franchise has been utter shit.

The Movies were just retellings of the TV series with like 10 minutes of new footage
The manga adaptation was some depressive suicidal shit alternate ending where everyone dies and its horrible
AO was complete and utter fucking trash of the highest caliber and doesn't even deserve to have any association with the name Eureka 7.

Look, the original series had an interesting premise, a great soundtrack, and a unique homage to surfer culture. None of the sequels or spinoffs ever recaptured that style. They don't even understand why the fucking show was successful. They're just blatantly copying and pasting what they can in hopes of striking it big like with the original series again.
