So After 50 episode with Lelouch as MC, seeing him starting from an edgy teen "on the path of blood" to a guy who is basically broken because of all the death around him and who just wants to kill his father and end it right there (even die at this point).... after all that people still thought,

It's your opinion (not mine) and I'm not going to debate that since there is no point but from this small sample of people you could say that reading subs clearly helps with the comprehension of the characters' motivation.

Also, I think the dub is pretty good except for Nunnaly (terrible) and C.C (meh) and the fact that they didn't use as much sound effects (echo and shit) for Lelouch's voice.
