On 1's = 24 frames per second.
2's = 12
3's = 8
etc

It's not rocket science. Animators should all be using Iso's full limited style to vary the timing of the drawings anyway.

That is some next weirdly wrong information.
Animation on "Ones" mean it's 24 drawings per second. "Twos" are 12 drawings per second which was the western standard for cartoons.
Animating on "Threes" doesn't mean it has 3 drawings a second but 8 which is the anime standard altough anime tends to break out of this fairly often. Especially for sakuga.

Youtube doesn't show it too well, but the sweep out at 0:48 looks so stupid. It's actually animated on a crazy 3-1-3-1 sequence that looks horrible when it would have taken just a few more frames to do it right. Didn't even fix it for the BD.

Wait, was your argument here supposed to be that if they care about making money then they might as well just make everything KF-tier 3D? Because if so, that's the most retarded logic I've seen in a long fucking time. Every business cares about money, because they need to fund their next project and their employees need to eat. There is a lot of middle-ground between "let's just do the absolute cheapest thing imaginable" and "let's just ignore reality and pretend we have unlimited budget." Toei tried to do everything on 1s. They stopped as soon as Tezuka provided an alternative, because they weren't making money.

Because they're cheap and the culture of the industry prefers detail in the frames, not animation. That's also why you get so many tracking shots and entire scenes of only one character's lips moving.

Waifu trash tends to have the worst animation. Like a light novel where it pans across a still image with sound effects and then animated a mouth opening and closing every 3 or 4 frames.

It really makes you appreciate certain blu-ray releases which have the better animated stuff or shows that do put effort in like even chunni as quite a few of its animations are on 1 with lots of movement of the characters. It still cheats, but not in a way that makes it feel like you're watching a slide show.
