Will the anime adaptation flop?

I like shield hero because there is much less number crunching and skill collecting that other shows of the same genre. Even though I am a sucker for isekai I can't stand seeing menu screens once or twice in a single chapter with text flooding all over the picture. The other three heroes are hilariously terrible but their evil qualities are not as focused as other revenge based stories, so it's less of a cheap way to create hate boners.

It still has inherent flaws that other isekais have, but it's toned down enough to enjoy.

Shield Hero has been around for a few years, and is pretty entertaining for at least the first half of the series. The main character isn't pathetic, nor is he an idiot. He earns his way to the top, and is doubted every step of the way. And it all starts with a really good betrayal.

I'm not saying it's amazing, but compared to all other isekai, it's pretty good. Every other isekai that got adapted into manga or anime is complete garbage, and the new ones being made today are even worse. Enjoy a good 7/10 series while you can, before it's swallowed by a sea of shit.

All of the other heroes besides naofumi had access to drops and weapon copying while naofumi had to live without them until he heard about them at the conference. All this time he had closed off his perception of the world, and never made an effort to expand his horizons due to the betrayal and his past experiences. He had denied what the other heroes took for granted in his heart somewhere, and only by forcing himself to believe, if not in their words, but his shield, he manages to unlock greater power.
The other heroes can do it too if they also choose to believe, and they need it for the challenges ahead.

The manga also did a good job in the first 8 episodes.

In the first one, the bitch was actually a god that set everything up to have 8 similar worlds merge so she could reap their energy to get stronger. She also likes seeing people suffer for the lols. She sends literal death beams across the world, killing everyone and everything. Naofumi and presumably the other heroes survive this and are sent back to their worlds. Both naofumi and raphtalia are sent to naofumi's world, and spend about a month there trying to figure out what they could do to get back to the other world. Atlas's spirit talks to them and enables them a way to get there. They meet some sort of god killer that helps them a bit pointing them in the right direction, they both train their magic while they're running through the endless void between the worlds. In the process their very existences change fundamentally and become something close to gods, but not quite so. In the mean time they pick up ren, and raphtalia stays behind a bit to pick up motoyasu who is trapped in some timeloopy shit. Ren and naofumi arrive just in time before the bitch god's army takes over melromarc and aid in their defense. In the last assault, both raphtalia and motoyasu arrive to help out though raphtalia doesn't want to speak of the experience.
They manage to bind the bitch god to the world, revealing her stats and allowing anyone to hurt her. She makes one last ditch effort to kill everyone by sending literal death to everyone and the world in all timelines and or dimensions but naofumi absorbs the attack, amplifies it and sends her back at her, erasing her even to the point only vague memories of her remain. In the end, naofumi and raphtalia spend their eternity fighting other gods like the god bitch and left mortal fragments of themselves in the other world and naofumi's world. Naofumi ends up marrying raphtalia, melty and sadina. and raphtalia back at his world, not before altlas crashes the wedding demanding to be wed instead. Atlas self-inserted as naofumi's (rich) childhood friend by using the power of the shield.
