Probably something like being able to draw out and absorb heat from people and other things to fuel his own fire blasts.

Although, I'm pretty sure it's been stated that there's a chance a kid can come out with a power that's got fuck all to do with their parents quirk.

I think it would have been cooler to make him remain quirkless and just have defeat enemies with gadgets and cleverness like Batman.

It's infinitely more likely Deku would have either shitty firebreathing, shitty telekinesis or something completely unrelated.

Her quirk allows her to zoom in with her eyes so as a kid she probably looked at all sorts of gadgets at a smaller level and got a better sense of them.

Quirks don't absolutely need to mix, he could have only one of them, or maybe both of them at the same time.
If they were to mix however, he would be capable of both creating and controling fire, what would be absolutely insane and overpowered as fuck.
Not nearly as good as One For All, but with enought training he could easily go one on one with Todoroki and Bakugou,

I feel like the biggest problem with that direction is that unlike batman, deku isn't particularly smart or rich. A lot would need to change, or extra elements would have to be introduced, for that to work.
