Why does this look so good? What happened to my bad season 1 art? And how come it's reached season 5, I dropped it when the second one proved to be complete shit.

I'm still on first season, don't really have the balls to binge through it because I watch it before sleep. The very first episode caught me off guard and scared me shitless

This is how it goes, for what I can remember:
>1st season is actually cool urban legends all the way through
>2nd season is meh urban legends for the most part, one or two good ones
>3rd season is over-showing of the monster of the week drawn in a style that makes it look wacky and made of rubber, is comedic more than scary
>4th season is in the same boat as 3rd but for some reason introduces a backstory for the golden mask story teller in the last ep. He's a douche demon that draws horrible things that will later turn into yami shibai episodes
>5th season just started, and seems somewhat balanced. Monster wasn't shoved in your face but it wasn't really scary. It has hope tho.

season 3 is the one with the boy that eventually turns out to be the one creating the monsters with his drawings.
Season 4 is when they went with a different narrator every ep and had them narrate the entire fucking story the whole time, killing any potential tension.
This season the seemed to have ditched that format, thank fuck.

Yeah the new ending is way better then last season. Like season 4 ending caught me off guard. It was like an ending for a drama or romance. Not a terrible horror series.

Does it seem like all the stories are going to be about women this season? The audience is all women in the opening.

Only season 1 and 2 were good. I hope this one will bring back the feeling from the first one
