I thought the jinchuu arc was terrible. Kenshin getting his shit rekt was fine but the bullshit the author pulled with kaoru and everything else was tedious and just plain dumb. I much preferred the second ova's adaptation of the jinchuu arc to the manga. As rushed as it was it made the conflict with Enishi feel way more personal, which is perfect after the events of the Kyoto arc. Then of course the ova original ending with kenshin getting samurai AIDS had to ruin everything. It's a shame that there's none of the endings for kenshin are particularly good.

I think his reversed blade and oath created interesting fight scenes and dynamics between his enemies. If he were to use a real sword there would be no fight scenes that last more than 1 or 2 pages.
