Killing fake L on TV and Ray Penbar was retarded as fuck.

1. Only initially killing people in Japan during certain times, and not killing, say, an African dictator.
2. Taking the bait like a retard and killing the guy on TV
3. Using his dad's computer, why the fuck would he do that
From these 3 mistakes L had him narrowed down to someone living in Japan, in a certain region, who was closely related to a policeman.
At that point L had him, the rest of the show was just fun to watch.

He's a genius written by a person who thinks that genius means telepathy. It's a problem that so many tv shows with genius characters we face. We aren't geniuses, so we can't accurately write a genius or represent how he would think. We basically turn it into magic.
