i just realized how awesome Akko is as a Character.
hear me out: she outwardly wants to make the world happy, but she's over-the-top emotionally, so she gets into fights, blows stuff up, and might i add, she gets involved in action scenes more than we credit her for.
....plus, she has that madwoman side to her. we have seen her face. she is a little nuts sometimes.
ok, most of the time. just adds credit.
add to that being Genki as all fuck and we get a character that is defined less by quirks and more by the fact they have energy and they will make waves where they go.

Since English is the dub that everyone's concerned about

Akko- (B+): is perfectly acceptable,she's as close to Megumin as we'll get and she delivers her lines well enough.Gives enough emphasis on acute delivery during critical moments in the first cour

Sucy- (C+): overall,much too monotone and misses the mark when it comes to matching JP Sucy.Too much emphasis on lethargic instead of apathetic.However,still manages to catch minor details,such Sucy slightly moaning/getting aroused during Vajaroiss devouring the girls in ep13.

Lotte- (B): Thankfully,Lotte didn't have much to live up to in terms of attitude,spunk,or anything outside of acting shocked from Akko being retarded.Her english dub gives a suitable performance,fitting of the girl with as much presence as air

Diana- (?): Diana is still ungraded because she's just a cunt for the first cour and doesn't really get fleshed out until cour 2.However,her VA is so far unfitting and still has a lot to prove DIANA!!!

Ursula- (B-): Somewhat monotone and her empathy towards Akko feels condescending as opposed to nurturing (See ep.6 Fountain scene)

Amanda- (D+): Sounds like a butch lesbian instead of a lipstick lesbian

Constanze- (?):Ep.25 will make or break the grade

Jasminka- (B): Chewing noises and soft yelps

Andrew- (B): Sounds accurately smug,but line delivery needs some work.However,this performance is sufficient

I'm simultaneously pleased and dissapointed that of all characters, Frank has the best delivery in the english dub. Akko, Lotte, and Andrew are adequate and I guess Sucy can grow on you, but Dianna just doesn't feel right and Ursula is just flat out awful.

The poorly translated script really hampers what the VAs are capable of.
