Why not give her a normal laugh? Or atleast make it more consistent.

I don't know why I am surprised Sanji and Luffy stayed on to fight Big Mom. It's actually really disheartening to see. It means Luffy has had basically zero character development from Marineford. Ace died trying to fight an enemy way out of his league out of stubborn pride and a misguided desire to protect his friends, but all he had to do was run and more people would have lived.A lot more.

The same thing is happening here. All Luffy and Sanji need to do is run and everything will be fine. Now somebody is guaranteed to die besides the dumb Germa 66 who besides Reiju I don't care about because they didn't really get much for character besides unthinking mostly unfeeling robots which isn't very interesting imo.

At this rate, it looks like everyone is gonna turn out fine. Big Mom is gonna get jobbed. Pudding is gonna erase her and the commanders memories so they don't have a vendetta with the SH anymore. I'm sure the Germa 66 will make it out too. Everyone is saying Jinbe will die but I highly doubt it. This arc has been a bit sloppy and Jinbe dying would weaken it, not help it thematically or othrerwise.

The users blast it out of themselves with magic, it isn't dependent on how fast it travels in nature. His lava doesn't fly through the air and the same speed real lava trickles down a volcano. Anything can go fast if you launch it with telepathy. Like do you think Aojikis ice can only move as slow as a glacier? We've seen him freeze tidal waves and huge sections of the ocean in an instant. Maybe stuff like light or lightning are the fastest but that doesn't make any other logias slow.

And lava is probably one of the most destructive DFs in the world. Like I doubt there's anyone in the world who could just tank a magma fist with their body, it's gonna burn it's way through just about anyone.

I think it's a 50/50 on him having a normal or cool looking poster, or having a silly perverted looking poster again. It's hard to tell if Morgans was able to use his camera at a point where Sanji was showing a clear, cool pose. Physically, Blackbeard is weaker, based on getting his shit kicked in by Magellan and Whitebeard, but his fruit more than makes up for it. 1. Being Pirate King has actually gotten an explanation, from Luffy anyway which actually sums it up nicely. He says being a pirate king means being the person in the seas with the most freedom, who nobody can tell what to do. We hear other characters who also want/wanted to be Pirate King with different motivations. The point is, being "Pirate King" is whatever you want it to be. Power, Freedom, Wealth.

2. One Piece is considered my most pirates to be an INSANE amount of treasure (Which it likely is) and by some to be the most powerful weapon of all (which it likely is). Either one of these things, for a person strong enough to find them, would easily skyrocket a person to a level of power and influence.

3. Whitebeard did. The pirate era that was going on was dying- we see this way back in Loguetown when we meet a bartender running a bar that is completely deserted until Luffy shows up. We also see this in Mocktown, where the pirates think Luffy and co. are foolish for having dreams, even though (in One Piece) pirates are defined by their dreams.Roger loudly declared after establishing himself as the strongest man alive who also had an extreme amount of wealth that he had left ALL of it in one place. That got every pirate thinking about quitting to rethink it by giving them a goal. Whitebeard did the exact same thing by confirming the One Piece is real.

The answer to Whitebeard is simple enough. They were friends. We saw this at the end of the Marineford arc, where Roger even offers to tell Whitebeard how to get to the One Piece but Whitebeard refuses, since he had no real desire to become Pirate King. He just wanted a family. We don't know enough yet about Big Mom and Rogers past to know why Roger couldn't/wouldn't fight her. Most likely, Roger is in the same situation Luffy is. Perhaps he could have a chance in a one on one fight, but Big Mom surrounds herself with powerful people to basically just dogpile anyone that threatens her.

False. If he hadn't, she wouldn't be furious at the thought of him. There are more ways to defeat a person than by just beating them up. Stealing one of the most valuable treasures there is- Poneglyphs- right out from a pirate as strong as Big Mom's nose is a pretty solid victory.

The pirates in one piece assume the same for two reasons:

I just watched a video talking about how escalation of stakes is a problem battle manga faces because as stakes get higher naturally the story becomes less personal. OP was cited as doing it right, but it was also stated that Dresrossa while not a shit story by any means is weaker because of less personal meaning for the Straw Hats? Do you guys agree? The only problem Dressrosa has IMO was one too many plot lines. Again, the Strawhats accidentally stumble onto a giant plot at exactly the right time to help all the island's inhabitants.

This happens in every arc but as opposed to say, Alabasta, where we had been building to the sole plot line (help Vivi save her country) for the entire mega-arc, Dressrosa was composed of several. You've got the royal family being saved, the Rikus, you've got Rebecca and Kyros, technically the royal family but treated as having their own plotline about Rebecca never staining her hands with blood. You've got the Tontottas saving Mansherry with Operation SOP and rejoining society, and also tangentially related but treated independently, with it's own large cast and series of interactions, you've got the crews of various pirate ships imprisoned in toys and being saved from a life of slavery by the Strawhats. Then just to fuck with you, halfway in Oda drops the Sabo bombshell and starts his story. And he rarely interacts with others plotlines. He fights all the way to the top of the tournament, making it drag on longer after Luffy leaves, fights with Jesus and Fuji on his own time, and leaves.

In Skypiea, for example, you had a few plot lines, but Enel dragged them all together when he started Mamaragan and forced everyone to deal with him. You had Wiper and his boys, Luffy, Nami, Aisa, even the fucking snake got dealt with in time for the climax. Dressrosa has so many spinning plates and (I think) a satisfying climax but I can see why a lot of people didn't like it, especially week-to-week.

There was a massive influx of new characters that actually did a lot of the primary fighting during the arc, and it felt like the Straw Hats (excluding Luffy) took a back seat to them. It was fine at first with a slow trickle, we had Bartolomeo and Cavendish, but then it just erupted and there were at least a dozen new characters we had to meet who all became significant by the end of the arc. It was really just too many at once.

Zou and WCI on the other hand, while also introducing a lot of new characters still manages to keep the focus on the SH. These new characters get the exact amount of time they need, and Massive Madres' backstory was kept blissfully short.

Another problem that I personally had with Dressrosa was the disappointing fights the Straw Hats had. Robin didn't get anything but a brief encounter with Cavendish, Zoro beat his enemy in one fucking hit, Usopp didn't manage to do anything except eat a spicy grape and almost die. The only good fight was Frankys' surprisingly.

This is definitely not correct. Law was the entire reason they went to this island, they didn't just stumble onto Dressrosa like they did Punk Hazard. It also wasn't the "right time". Doffy had already been ruling the kingdom for 10 years before they showed up. This is a tiresome complaint about One Piece because it's rarely accurate.

The events of the Dressrosa arc only kicked off because Doffy found out they were there almost immediately. The whole tournament only started because Doffy wanted to distract Luffy with the Mera Mera fruit.

I should add Usopp didn't exactly "do nothing", he did learn how to use Observation Haki but that wasn't so much of a fight as it was a moment of growth for Usopps abilities.

2. she had a road poneglyph
If she didn't know of the existence of one piece why would she be trying to get to raftel? Why would she be having a road poneglyph, and knowing its importance?
