His one-shot doujins really offer a lot of depth in the premise that can quite be expanded upon, but Dowman chooses to blend the story and setting into messages and themes worth analyzing. He's honestly just my favorite manga writer when it comes to those tales, and his unique artstyle also helps.

I still have a box of his things to scan. I think I got most of his stuff that I could find. The rest are probably oneshots in random mags that are obscenely difficult to track down. I have a couple mags from his noodle-appendage days that he also drew the cover for. I think he's participating in the winter Comiket, so I'll keep an eye out on something to buy.

Voynich Hotel ended so abruptly - around a dozen different plot threads cut and cauterized within a few chapters and BOOM, manga's over just like that. It's like he got tired of drawing it and wanted to call it a day.

I think even another ten chapters would have led to a satisfying ending.
