Gundam is pretty shit but at least G Gundam didn't take itself so seriously, it was good.

F as a gundam show, but enjoyable as a super robo show on its own.

I for one enjoy the shows not connected to the larger Gundam universe like Turn A or Build Fighters the most.

my favourite gundam was 00 because despite its flaws it was generally fun and gets away from the tired idea of stasis between earth and zeon being sort of broken but not really by gundams

Thing is only the UC has actual intelligent politics backing up its story. All the other AUs are downright inferior when it comes to this. G and GBF both had writers that understood they can never be an intelligent as the UC, so they chose the smart path and decided to make something fun and original.

Gundam is shit but G Gundam was at least funny.
