Kyon's childhood friend(?), they were classmates in middle school, there was a rumor they dated (which is the reason those two guy friends of Kyon think he likes weird girls). Three new characters (an alien, a time traveler and an esper) wanted to steal Haruhi's power and give it to Sasaki. To do that, they needed to kill Haruhi and then have Kyon transfer the power somehow. Sasaki herself had little to no fucks about this whole ordeal, though she didn't know about the part where they wanted to kill Haruhi.
